That left only one possibility: something had gone wrong in some part of the Underworld, causing all the living beings on Azure Star to "control" their own life and death.
Previously, those in power had used the "Reincarnation System" to achieve an alternative form of "immortality." Driven by their own interests, they had effectively "stolen" their lifespans.
But once the reincarnation cycle of all Azure Star had gone wrong, those in power could no longer stay untouched. Even for their own benefit, they would have had to grit their teeth and keep the "Reincarnation System" running.
And according to Elder Nan, a traveler through time and space, even though those in power had done their utmost to maintain it, the system had ultimately still collapsed. Even Yun Chen and Han Lian's appearance had been unable to turn the tide. In the end, Azure Star's living beings would likely die out entirely.
