This was the capital of the Kree Empire, as well as the birthplace of their entire race and civilization.
Although in the beginning, the Kree were not the only Intelligent Lifeforms on this planet. There was also a race known as the Cotati.
But later, the technologically advanced Skrulls visited this place and intended to choose one of the two races to cultivate and support.
To test which race was superior, they sent equal numbers of Kree and Cotati to another completely unfamiliar environment, planning to inspect the results of their construction after a period of time.
In the end, the Kree built a city in a barren land, while the Cotati used their innate psychic abilities to make plants grow, creating an enormous garden out of nothing.
Ultimately, the Skrull observers chose the Cotati.
The Kree flew into a rage upon learning the result. They immediately gathered all their forces and carried out a brutal massacre of the Cotati, wiping out their entire race. Only a tiny number of lucky survivors escaped.
Not only that, they launched a surprise attack on the Skrull fleet stationed on the ground before the Skrulls could react.
The unprepared observation fleet was completely wiped out in an extremely short time, not even having the chance to send out a distress signal.
The Kree then used that time to reverse-engineer, study, and replicate the Skrulls' leftover warships and technology.
Before long, they rapidly grew in strength and established a spacefaring civilization with formidable military power.
