And with a super artificial intelligence, they could make the fullest possible use of the technology and resources already at hand, concentrate their efforts on overcoming a series of technological bottlenecks essential to reaching the stars, including jump engines and large-scale energy shields.
At the same time, they could sweep all those trash politicians who only cared about money and power deals into history's garbage heap, allowing human society to take another major step toward rationality.
After all, humans could never make judgments from an absolutely rational and fair perspective, but artificial intelligence could.
It has to be said that Tony Stark's ideas were rather naive and childish in certain respects.
He simply did not understand that the primary force driving human behavior had never been reason, but intense emotions.
