Inside the Blackrock Depths Dungeon, more than a dozen Phantom Wolves composed entirely of Shadow Energy rushed out of the passage at incredible speed.

Behind them trailed a dense, countless swarm of Dark Iron Dwarves, along with a small number of Elite Fire Elementals.

Clearly, Allen was using Lupos's trained Nen Ability—Shadow Wolf Pack—to gather a huge number of Dungeon enemies together.

Just as the Rage Iron Overseer at the very front was about to charge out as well, the Frost Trap placed on the ground was finally triggered.

In an instant!

White frost blanketed the entire tunnel exit. He and the massive horde behind him were instantly slowed, and within mere seconds, all of them had been packed into an extremely small, narrow area.

"Excellent! This is exactly the result I wanted!"

The moment he finished speaking!

Allen used all his strength to hurl out a massive wooden barrel.

Amid soaring flames and a deafening explosion, the ground within a radius of hundreds of meters shook violently, sending the Dark Iron Dwarves sprawling.

Other than Arcane Bombs, it was the most terrifying Engineering explosive of the entire sixties era, fully embodying the core principle that "Goblin Technology shocks the world."

If this had happened in the outside world, that blast could probably have instantly collapsed a three- or four-story building. Even Hunters who possessed Nen abilities would likely be severely injured, if not killed outright, by taking one head-on.

Unfortunately, within a semi-datafied Dungeon, its power was severely limited to around seven or eight hundred points of damage. The Shockwave from the explosion also could not cause effects such as stuns or knockdowns.

In less than five or six seconds, countless raindrop-like objects began falling from overhead, striking the Dark Iron Dwarves, Twilight Emissaries, and Elite Fire Elementals.

But unlike ordinary raindrops, these droplets, which gave off a faint blue glow, began absorbing the surrounding heat the instant they came into contact with their targets, evaporating and vaporizing at a speed visible to the Naked Eye.

Before long, countless strange Ice Sculptures stood near the tunnel exit. Not even the BOSS was spared.

Three serrated arrows infused with Enhancement Nen shot through the Ice Sculpture cluster in a fan-shaped spread at a speed almost impossible to follow with the Naked Eye, stirring up fierce and dangerous spiraling currents.

Under the effect of the Nen ability wrapped around the arrows, every Ice Sculpture grazed, struck, or standing in their path shattered with a crack into countless fragments. The monsters inside naturally died beyond any doubt.

Clearly, this was the astonishing effect created by the coordination of Allen's Enhancement and Manipulation Nen Ability.

The latter, in particular, was not what Marcus had imagined—creating freezing air or melting steel—but changing the fundamental state in which matter existed.

As everyone knew, matter most commonly existed in four states in nature: solid, liquid, gas, and plasma.

As for Bose–Einstein condensates and Fermion condensates, those belonged to the microscopic quantum realm. Without a great deal of advanced experimental equipment, they were practically impossible to observe with human eyes alone.

Solid, liquid, and gas were easy enough to understand; they were covered in middle school physics textbooks.

Take water, for example. In its gaseous state, it was called water vapor. In its liquid state, it was water. In its solid state, it was ice.

Plasma, on the other hand, could produce phenomena such as luminescence, combustion, and electrical discharge. Even nuclear fission and Nuclear Fusion could be classified as plasma states.

However, with Allen's current Nen abilities, his limit was only allowing certain relatively simple substances to shift between solid, liquid, and gas. For the time being, he could not control the immensely complex plasma state.

The raindrop-like things that had fallen earlier were actually created when Allen used his Manipulation Nen Ability to turn part of the air into liquid.

Liquefied Air had a temperature of -192°C. When it encountered room temperature and began changing state, it absorbed a massive amount of heat. Combined with the water vapor contained in the air, it ultimately produced the result visible to the Naked Eye: every monster was frozen in place.

The same principle applied to the gang members frozen in the Hotel lobby earlier, as well as the alloy gate that had melted into molten iron.

As for that shield, which was so light it was almost weightless yet could block handgun bullets, it was air in its solid state. It possessed unimaginable hardness, strength, and toughness. The moment it left the control of Nen abilities, it immediately absorbed heat like Liquefied Air, creating extremely low temperatures in a localized area.

Under the effects of such low temperatures, even hard steel became incredibly brittle.

"My choice back then was indeed correct! Changing the state of matter is the ultimate evolutionary path of Manipulation Nen Ability! Nen abilities like Hisoka's chewing-gum-like stuff, or Killua using his own aura to generate electricity, are far too primitive. And the consumption is completely disproportionate to the effects they produce..." Allen muttered as he put away his bow.

You must know, all he had done was carry out the most basic Shape Transformation without altering the substance itself.

All effects such as cold and high heat were merely byproducts, caused by energy transfer in a normal-temperature environment. The Nen ability only needed to take effect at the instant of transformation, so it consumed very little aura.

Only when shaping things like solid-air shields did he need to waste a little more Nen to ensure that he would not suffer frostbite or burns.

Besides that, in order to shorten the time needed for Shape Transformation as much as possible and expand the range of his Enhancement Nen ability, he had also set a series of rules for himself:

Taking nitrogen, the most abundant component of air, as an example, he only needed to spend one-quarter more aura than transforming air itself. Yet the transformation speed could instantly increase fivefold, making it unquestionably the best choice in battle.

With his Manipulation Nen Ability already beginning to take shape through development, the entire Blackrock Depths had long ceased to pose any threat to Allen.

He easily fought his way to Dagran Thorason and Princess Moira Bronzebeard, then directly sent the unfortunate couple to another world.

The instant the two fell together, golden light descended from the sky.

His Hunter level had finally risen from level 55 to level 56. Only four levels remained before reaching the maximum level of 60.
