The Troll reinforcements followed close behind.
About half an hour later, they discovered the headless corpses on the ground, along with the pile of heads that had been drenched in urine as an insult.
"Bastards! How dare those cowardly, despicable humans humiliate our warriors like this?"
A Troll Berserker let out an incomparably furious roar.
As a people who had preserved barbaric and bloody traditions such as "headhunting," "cannibalism," and "living sacrifice" throughout tens of thousands of years of civilization, they had never cared about being killed by their enemies.
But they could not accept such blatant, undisguised provocation and humiliation.
Especially when the ones responsible were humans, whom they despised and regarded as "savages."
In fact, in the eyes of the Amani Trolls, humans had long been ranked alongside Kobolds, Gnolls, and Fish-Men, and were considered even more "inferior" than the Naga sea witches active along the coast.
While the warriors could only rage helplessly, the accompanying Witch Doctors cautiously crouched down to inspect the corpses.
A few minutes later, one of the Witch Doctors suddenly cried out, "Impossible!"
"What is it? What's impossible?" the warlord immediately demanded with a frown.
"The wounds! I can't find any fatal injuries on these corpses. Without exception, they were struck by poisoned arrows and slowly suffocated to death. In other words, they weren't killed—they were unable to breathe and suffocated." The Witch Doctor gave his conclusion without hesitation.
Poison?
Arrows?
For a moment, every Troll present froze.
After all, when it came to poison, they were true experts.
Some deadly poisons brewed by Witch Doctors were feared even by the Wild Gods and Titan Guardians.
Yet now, a large number of their people had been taken out by human poison arrows. It was utterly ridiculous.
"Can you determine what poison it was?"
