As the Archangel's urgent, piercing alarm blared, everyone immediately tensed up.
Mwu La Flaga was the first to arrive on the bridge. Sitting in the captain's chair, she asked with a grave expression, "What is the situation?"
"Report! Radar has detected ZAFT Army MS units rapidly approaching. Four Ginns equipped with Type-D Equipment, and... and four of the G Project units they just stole! Aegis, Duel, Blitz Gundam, and Storm Gundam have all deployed! There is also an unfamiliar pale-purple new unit with no available data!" The young officer operating the radar hurriedly looked up and reported loudly.
To help the captain understand the situation, he thoughtfully projected close-range images of the units onto the main screen.
Besides the Heavyarms Ginn and the four G Project Gundams, a somewhat smaller new unit was following behind the main force. It passed through the breach blasted open by the energy cannon not long ago and entered the colony satellite.
A highly conspicuous marking had been painted across the surface of that unit, though no one knew what it represented.
Judging from its external structure and weaponry, it was very likely a new-generation experimental ZAFT Army MS with transformation capabilities similar to the Aegis Gundam.
"Damn it! It seems the enemy's R&D department has not been idle either." Nataru Bagiru cursed in a low voice, her expression darkening.
There was no doubt that ZAFT, the first force to deploy MS units in actual combat and achieve glorious victories, far surpassed any nation or organization on Earth in MS development.
Even Orb, the neutral nation renowned for its technology and military-industrial strength, would have difficulty truly competing with them.
After all, Dawn Company's formidable R&D capabilities mainly came from taking in top Coordinator talents who had fled from nations across Earth.
But on
