"So... some of the Floor Masters had secretly joined forces and planned to ambush me while I was away from Sky Arena and off my guard?"
After submitting the match registration form, Allen finally learned from Hisoka what this so-called "very frightening matter" was. Not only did he show no fear whatsoever, he instead revealed undisguised excitement and delight.
If not for Sky Arena's rules, he would have made a move against those Floor Masters long ago.
But just when he had been ready to give up, those fools who did not know their own limits had delivered themselves right to his door—and even leaked the news in advance.
You must know, in the entire game of World of Warcraft, there were two classes best suited for solo PVP in the wild.
One was the Rogue, with stealth and numerous control and escape skills. The other was the Hunter, with terrifying burst damage and extreme range.
Night Elf Hunters in particular could often use Shadowmeld to lie in ambush in some unknown corner, patiently waiting for prey to enter their range. Then they would suddenly reveal themselves and unleash a barrage of shots. Their victims often did not even have time to react before they could release their souls.
Combined with traps, engineering items, explosives, and Invisibility Potions, they could take an enemy leader's head from amid an army and retreat unscathed.
Beyond that, Allen had another trump card: he could constantly travel between Dungeons and the real world at any time, using the confusion, incomprehension, anxiety, and tension caused by suddenly losing sight of their target to catch his opponents off guard.
In a sense, compared to the cramped terrain of Sky Arena, he was better suited to unrestricted slaughter in the broader spaces outside.
Only in the complex terrain of the wilderness could he truly unleash one hundred percent of his power and methods.
"Hmm! Simply put, they see you as a massive threat, someone who would disrupt the balance and seriously affect the global martial arts tournament held once every two years. So you must be eliminated. But you do not seem nervous at all?"
Hisoka had clearly realized what the aura Allen was unconsciously giving off meant. An expression of just as I thought immediately appeared on his face.
"Nervous? Why should I be nervous? They should be the ones feeling nervous! Because at the wrong time and in the wrong place, they chose the wrong opponent." Allen curled his lips into a cruel smile.
He knew this ambush would not be the head-on clash and group beating those Floor Masters imagined. It would be a complete massacre, a one-sided hunt—and they themselves were prey that had walked into the trap.
When it was over, every Floor Master involved in this operation would vanish from the world and become food in the Red Dragon's belly.
"Yes! Yes! That look! Please make sure you maintain that state in the arena tomorrow as well, and hunt me as if I were prey too."
Hisoka kept licking his lips while forcibly suppressing the restless dark desire in his heart.
"Do not worry. No matter how many times I beat that face of yours, I will never get tired of it," Allen replied meaningfully.
"Then I am relieved! We will meet in the arena tomorrow."
After saying that, Hisoka took Illumi and turned to disappear into the dark end of the corridor.
Only after watching the two of them leave completely did Allen turn back to the Martial Artist behind him. "It seems our plan needs a slight adjustment."
"Are you planning to go to war with the Floor Masters?" Bodrō clenched his fists tightly, powerful fighting intent radiating from his entire body.
"Yes! But before that, I plan to send them a declaration of war—one written in blood and death."
As he spoke, Allen began calculating how he could gather ten victories in the shortest possible time.
Taking down Valensa would count as one. Bringing Killua and Gon over to make up the numbers would make three. Bodrō would add another, and tomorrow's match against Hisoka would bring it to five victories.
As for the remaining five, he would probably have to find newcomers who had just advanced to the two-hundredth floor.
After all, the fighters currently on the two-hundredth floor had basically all witnessed his strength. They would never casually risk the Nen abilities and lives they had worked so hard to obtain.
Thinking of this, Allen immediately stared into Bodrō's eyes and asked, "Can you do me a favor?"
"Of course! Please give your orders!" The Martial Artist nodded without hesitation.
"Go to floors one hundred ninety through one hundred ninety-nine and select five people with blood on their hands. Then, in exchange for matches with me, teach them Nen abilities," Allen said, stroking his chin as he laid out his plan.
"Understood! Please give me one week."
Bodrō was no fool. He immediately understood that Allen intended to gather ten victories, then personally destroy a Floor Master before countless eyes, using it as an announcement of war against the other Floor Masters.
No fear!
No retreat!
Only the most direct and ruthless retaliation!
As an Enhancement-type Nen user, he felt as though an erupting volcano were blazing within him. He was so excited that he could not wait to follow his savior into this war, defeat those despicable Floor Masters one by one, and trample them underfoot.
Meanwhile, Hisoka had returned to his room on the two-hundredth floor. He stripped off his clothes, walked straight into the bathroom, and began enjoying the comforting sensation of hot water spraying over his body.
Illumi stood by the window, enjoying the scenery outside while the cool night breeze blew against him. After roughly three to five minutes, he suddenly asked, "Hisoka, did you feel it just now? That abnormal amount of aura around that guy?"
"I am not blind. Allen's aura has increased nearly fourfold since we last parted, and there is not the slightest flaw anywhere on his body. I think it has something to do with that Nen Beast of his that can devour other people's aura," Hisoka answered through the bathroom door.
"Since you can see it, you should understand that the gap in aura between you has reached a point where skill can hardly make up for it. In other words, even if he only uses Enhancement-type punches, he can easily break through your defenses." Illumi raised a very sharp issue, but one that could not be ignored.
But Hisoka merely smiled indifferently. "Heh, do you not think that makes it even better? Every punch from my opponent could instantly inflict an irreversible injury, and every exchange is like brushing past Death. That mixture of stimulation, shivering excitement, and fear is simply irresistible. Besides, I am not completely unprepared."
"Oh? So you have developed your abilities further?"
Illumi turned around and studied Hisoka with interest as he emerged from the bathroom, dripping wet from head to toe.
After drying the water from his body and casually tossing the towel aside, Hisoka said meaningfully, "Just remember to watch the match tomorrow, and you will understand. The Magus will display a great trick on the most magnificent stage, one that dances along the boundary between life and death."
"What if you fail? Do you need me to collect your body?" Illumi asked expressionlessly.
"No! Because Allen will not kill me! Though it is somewhat frustrating, he already sees me as some kind of toy, just as I would not casually destroy unripe fruit."
As he said this, Hisoka's eyes gleamed with an unusually rare anger and unwillingness, even carrying a trace of hatred toward his own lack of strength.
