Ch. 101Research Report

Allen discussed his planned challenge to Netero with Kido and received her research on Life Essence and five experimental medicines. Later, Shila approached him and asked him to rebuild the Phantom Troupe, but Allen angrily refused and ordered her to leave.

  • Kido asked when Allen planned to challenge Netero, and Allen estimated that he would be ready in half a month to a year.
  • Kido gave Allen her Life Essence research and five medicines, explaining the substance's effects and the dangers of taking it undiluted or receiving multiple doses.
  • Kido warned Allen that Pariston might have leaked his information to people in V5, then returned to the Hunter Association with the remaining Life Essence.
  • Shila introduced herself as a former liaison to Chrollo and asked Allen to become the leader of a rebuilt Phantom Troupe.
  • Allen rejected Shila's proposal, cited the Kurta Clan massacre, and ordered her to get away before he lost his temper.

Ch. 102The Mastermind Behind the Scenes

Allen rejected Shila’s attempt to recruit him to reorganize the Phantom Troupe, refusing to become an outlaw for Meteor City’s sake. Shila then discussed the failed recruitment and the Kurta Clan massacre with a man on the phone, and resolved to eliminate the surviving Kurta Clan member.

  • Shila offered Allen missions and argued that the Phantom Troupe helped preserve Meteor City, but Allen condemned the troupe’s crimes and refused her offer.
  • Allen left, reasoning that Meteor City’s survival was not his responsibility and that joining the Phantom Troupe would make him a wanted criminal.
  • Shila reported her failure to a man, who mocked her and warned that Kakin Kingdom possessed unknown power.
  • The man accused Shila of enabling the Kurta Clan massacre by revealing the clan’s location to Chrollo, and warned that the surviving Kurta would kill her if he learned the truth.
  • Shila decided the Kurta Clan survivor had to die and considered arranging a fatal confrontation with someone who had collected Scarlet Eyes.

Ch. 103Pioneering Molten Core

Allen, Bodrō, and Fei Jie began their first coordinated push through Molten Core, using specialized gear and abilities to defeat its guardians and the first boss. They defeated Lucifron and his minions, then rested before continuing deeper into the Dungeon.

  • Allen, Bodrō, and Fei Jie entered Molten Core after preparing for the raid, while Allen deployed the Bulleye Fish to remove negative status effects and Vilnalasath linked him to Bodrō.
  • Bodrō knocked down a Magma Giant, and Fei Jie used Allen's Liquefied Air launcher to freeze it into stone.
  • Allen, Bodrō, Fei Jie, and Lupos fought through the Dungeon's monsters, with Lupos's shadow clones badly wounding a Core Hound before Bodrō and Allen finished it.
  • The team reached Lucifron, kept its minions from using Mind Control, and defeated the boss and the remaining minion.
  • Bodrō and Fei Jie drank water and rested after the exhausting fight, while Allen checked whether Bodrō could continue.

Ch. 104Shafted! Totally Shafted!

After Lucifron dropped useless loot, Allen led Fei Jie and Bodrō onward and devised a kiting strategy to defeat Magmadon. They killed the lava hound, and Allen’s group was ready to continue through the Dungeon.

  • Allen looted Lucifron and found a Wand—Crimson Shocker, Demon's Heart Gloves, and a Focused Shot skill book.
  • Allen complained about the poor equipment drops, learned Focused Shot, and told Fei Jie and Bodrō to resume clearing the Dungeon.
  • Fei Jie compared the Dungeon to a game, while Bodrō joked about being companions to Allen’s Nen-created worlds.
  • Allen assigned Bodrō to establish aggro on Magmadon and told Fei Jie and Lupos to stay at the back of the cave.
  • Bodrō attacked Magmadon, and Allen repeatedly drew its aggro, kited it down the passage, and used Feign Death to send it back to Bodrō.
  • Allen and Bodrō killed Magmadon by repeating their kiting strategy.

Ch. 105RNG Superstition

After defeating Magmadon, Allen used his Nen abilities to extinguish the Fire Lord rune and led the team through six more bosses, collecting valuable gear. Exhausted after the fights, the group returned to the inn to recover, and by the next morning they were ready to continue toward Ragnaros.

  • Fei Jie kicked Magmadon's corpse while Allen looted it with his left hand and found gear for himself and Bodrō.
  • Allen used Liquefied Air and solid air to extinguish the Fire Lord rune, removing the obstacle to reaching Ragnaros.
  • Allen, Bodrō, Fei Jie, and Lupos fought through BOSS 3 to BOSS 6, and Bodrō collapsed unconscious after using a dangerous move.
  • Allen gave Bodrō a Special Healing Potion and collected useful drops, including the remaining pieces of his Hunter set.
  • Allen led the exhausted team back to their inn, where they slept for more than ten hours and recovered enough to continue the next morning.

Ch. 106"Filial Son"

Kido returned to Hunter Association headquarters and confronted Pariston, who revealed Allen had refused his proposal to lead the Phantom Troupe and would soon challenge Chairman Netero. Pariston informed Beyond about Allen, and Beyond planned to recruit him for the Dark Continent expedition while preparing to send Kakin’s Ant Queen to a suitable location.

  • Kido returned to Hunter Association headquarters, where Pariston praised Allen for destroying the Shadow Beasts and the Phantom Troupe and suggested the latter would be reborn under political constraints.
  • Pariston told Kido he had proposed that Allen lead and reorganize the Phantom Troupe, but Allen had rejected the offer; Kido warned that Allen would soon challenge Chairman Netero.
  • Pariston called Beyond and said Netero might soon face a serious challenge from a young Hunter, urging Beyond to advance their plan before Netero gained satisfaction from the duel.
  • Beyond said the Ant Queen being cultivated in Kakin was nearly ready to be sent elsewhere, then asked who would challenge Netero.
  • Pariston described Allen’s age, power, growth, and ability to take the aura and abilities of those he defeated; Beyond decided Allen would be an ideal teammate for the Dark Continent expedition.

Ch. 107Ragnaros

Netero learned that Allen had knowingly challenged him and eagerly awaited their fight. In the Molten Core Dungeon, Allen’s party reached Ragnaros, and Allen transformed into a dragonkin to face the Firelord while Fei Jie and Bodrō prepared to attack from range.

  • Ragnaros rose from the lava vortex, leaving Fei Jie stunned and Bodrō eager for the battle.

Ch. 108Let the Flames Purify Everything!

Allen and his companions defeated Ragnaros in Molten Core, and Allen won the Eye of Sulfuras along with several pieces of loot. After the raid, Onyxia’s Lair opened, and Allen considered the challenges and preparations ahead.

  • Allen used fire-resistant armor, Doomstrike arrows, and Red Dragon Possession to attack Ragnaros while Lupos, Fei Jie, and Bodrō supported him.
  • The group defeated Ragnaros in less than two minutes, and Allen canceled his possession before looting the boss.
  • Allen found the Eye of Sulfuras and several other valuable items, equipped two rings, and gave the Bloodfang Trousers to Fei Jie.
  • Fei Jie changed into the trousers and noticed improvements to her reflexes and aura capacity, while Bodrō welcomed her growing confidence.
  • Allen discovered that Onyxia’s Lair had unlocked after Molten Core and considered how to prepare for Blackwing Lair and its Shadowflame threat.
  • The group returned to the inn to review their raid gains, and Fei Jie planned to reassess her fighting style.

  • Allen and his companions defeated Onyxia, and Fei Jie used her kiss to control two guards and block the egg pits.
  • Allen returned home, introduced Fei Jie and Bodrō to his father, and left Yorknew City in early October to challenge Netero.
  • Kido told Netero that Allen was on his way, and Netero prepared for the duel while Pariston arranged to manage the arriving spectators.
  • Pariston informed Beyond of the news, and Nen experts including Zoldyck family members gathered at the Hunter Association headquarters.
  • Allen arrived with Fei Jie and Bodrō, spotted the assembled experts, and was greeted by Pariston.

Ch. 110Those Years of Reading...

Allen visited the Hunter Association headquarters, where Netero examined his Ren and arranged a full-strength duel for the following afternoon. Allen then retired to a private lounge to rest and prepare for the battle.

  • Allen greeted Netero, then released his Ren at the chairman's request, wrecking the office and sending everyone nearby except Netero flying into the hallway.
  • Netero praised Allen's immense aura and agreed with him to fight the next afternoon.
  • After Allen left, Netero told Kido that Allen's aura control was astonishing and instructed her to keep spectators away from their full-strength duel.
  • Bean person led Allen to a private lounge, where Fei Jie and Bodrō exchanged banter while Allen prepared to rest.

Ch. 111Hyakushiki Kannon!

Allen faced Chairman Netero in a sparring match outside the city, where he used a precise counterattack to injure him in their first exchange. Netero began fighting seriously, and Allen dodged his next attack and hurled enchanted Mithril Arrowheads at him.

  • Allen and Netero jumped from the airship and landed in the canyon clearing before the spectators.
  • Allen prepared his earth, water, and wind Alchemy Stones, while Netero asked why he had not brought out his bow and Silver Giant Wolves.
  • Netero attacked with the First Palm of Hyakushiki Kannon, but Allen raised a stone barrier, slowed Netero's heartbeat, and struck his abdomen with a powerful punch.
  • Ging Freecss explained Allen's prediction and counterattack to Kido and the other spectators.
  • Netero praised Allen and urged him to fight without restraint, but Allen refused and prepared enchanted Mithril Arrowheads.
  • Allen dodged Netero's next descending palm and hurled the arrowheads at him.

Ch. 112A Contest Between Ultimate Speed and Ultimate Reaction

Allen struggled to withstand Netero’s Hyakushiki Kannon, whose speed outmatched Allen’s ability to react. Allen transformed into Dragonkin Form and flew beyond Netero’s attack range, beginning a new phase of their fight while the Zoldycks anticipated Netero’s possible defeat.

  • Allen used his enhanced reactions and defensive maneuvers to survive Netero’s attacks but could not close the distance to strike back.
  • Netero unleashed Ninety-Nine Hands, covering the surrounding area with a barrage of golden palms.
  • Allen summoned Vilnalasath and transformed into Dragonkin Form, using his increased strength to push apart the palms trapping him.
  • Allen explained that Dragonkin Form enhanced his physical abilities and let him fly, then shot beyond Netero’s attack range.
  • Silva and Zeno judged Allen extremely dangerous, and Zeno anticipated that Netero might finally be defeated.

Ch. 113A Move Descending from the Heavens...

Allen used his dragon-man form and high-speed aerial dives to overwhelm Netero in a sparring match, leaving the Chairman defeated but delighted. Allen won the battle, but Vilnalasath’s report of his enormous aura expenditure left him alarmed.

  • Allen abandoned his plan to refine his Nen techniques and began attacking Netero from the air at three times the speed of sound.
  • Allen shattered Hyakushiki Kannon’s arm with a direct hit, then repeated his dives at increasing speeds while Netero struggled to defend himself.
  • Ging Freecss judged that Allen’s flight and greater aura reserves gave him the advantage, and several onlookers left the battle.
  • Allen pushed his dives as fast as eight times the speed of sound, suffering severe injuries as he repeatedly smashed Hyakushiki Kannon.
  • After more than ten minutes, Netero exhausted his strength and lay down laughing, while Allen stood victorious and learned from Vilnalasath how much stored aura the battle had consumed.

Ch. 114Heart Bleeding

After defeating Chairman Netero, Allen lamented the Red Dragon's enormous aura costs and discussed the battle, his future, and the dangers ahead with Netero and Illumi. Illumi accepted healing potions from Allen and agreed to help him with a job next May.

  • Allen discovered that using the Red Dragon had consumed one and a half million units of reserve aura and realized the ability's fuel costs rose sharply at high speeds.
  • Chairman Netero guessed that the Red Dragon gathered aura from defeated Nen users, and Allen confirmed part of its abilities while thanking him for their battle.
  • Allen hinted that people eager to reach the Dark Continent might soon challenge Netero, who welcomed the prospect of a fierce fight.
  • Illumi told Allen that the Zoldyck family would no longer accept jobs involving him, and Allen clarified that his victory over Netero had been only a spar.
  • Allen gave Illumi two Special Healing Potions and hired him for a job next May, which Illumi accepted.

Ch. 115Beyond's Invitation

Allen met Beyond, who invited him to join an expedition to the Dark Continent, but Allen rejected him after exposing the plan to use Chimera Ants to kill Netero. Allen left without revealing the conspiracy, determined to oppose Beyond and Pariston by his own means.

  • Pariston told Allen that Beyond was waiting for him in the western woods and led him there.
  • Beyond congratulated Allen on defeating Netero and invited him to join his team for a Dark Continent expedition.
  • Allen reminded Beyond that he had promised Netero not to return to the Dark Continent while Netero lived.
  • Allen accused Beyond, Pariston, and the Kakin Kingdom of planning to use artificially bred Chimera Ants to eliminate Netero at the cost of thousands of civilians.
  • Beyond questioned how Allen learned the secret, but Allen refused to explain or join them and warned that he would act against them if necessary.

Ch. 116Ecological Survey

After Allen’s match with Chairman Netero, he took Bodrō and Fei Jie to Nilante Island to investigate its ecosystem and hunt a giant worm for the Hunter Association. They tracked the worm into the island’s dangerous jungle, while Beyond and Pariston planned to advance their Chimera Ant scheme.

  • Beyond told Pariston to protect the Chimera Ants during their early breeding stage and send Nen users to learn from them, and Pariston agreed to arrange it.
  • Pariston warned Beyond that Chairman Netero might have noticed their moves, but Beyond believed Netero would enter the trap regardless.
  • Allen, Bodrō, and Fei Jie sailed to Nilante Island on a high-risk ecological survey mission.
  • Allen explained that the island’s oversized wildlife included a Giant Worm capable of swallowing large carnivores.
  • A Giant Worm burst from underground and swallowed two Giant Lizards, and Allen identified it as their hunting target.
  • Allen used Nen threads to track the worm, and the group followed it through the island’s giant-filled jungle to locate its nest.

Ch. 117Giant Beast Island

Allen and his team surveyed the dangerous Giant Beast Island, cataloging its oversized wildlife before discovering a colossal skeleton at the island’s center. Allen and Lupos descended through the bones and found signs of Giant Worms and a vast cave littered with remains.

  • Fei Jie and Bodrō reacted to the island’s enormous insects and predators as Allen explained its danger rating and the team’s ecological survey mission.
  • Allen, Fei Jie, Bodrō, and Lupos explored the jungle for five or six days, collecting samples and surveying over seventy percent of the island’s creatures.
  • The team discovered a colossal serpent-like skeleton at the island’s center, and Allen identified a passage descending underground toward the Giant Worm he was tracking.
  • Fei Jie objected to investigating further, so Allen left her and Bodrō behind and entered the passage with Lupos.
  • Lupos detected a Giant Worm scent below, and Allen continued into a huge cave filled with piles of bone-and-fur remains coated in brown fluid.

Ch. 118It Was Alive...

Allen discovered that the island was a living organism and that the red Giant Worms were parasites within it. After returning with evidence, he learned the island had been assigned threat level A and secured access to the worms’ microbial report and permanent confidentiality for his personal information.

  • Allen collected a sample of the Giant Worms’ excretions, then followed an adult worm with Lupos and discovered millions of larvae feeding inside the island’s intestinal-like organ.
  • Allen realized the Giant Worms were parasites and that the island itself was alive, so he photographed the cavern, captured larvae, and returned to the surface.
  • Allen told Bodrō they had to report their findings, and the group hurried back to the Hunter Association with their evidence.
  • In early November, Allen submitted the evidence, prompting the Hunter Association and V5 to investigate the living island and study the larvae in sealed laboratories.
  • About half a month later, a V5 representative told Allen the island had been assigned threat level A and offered him an additional request as a reward.
  • Allen requested a copy of the report on the newly discovered bacteria and viruses and permanent confidentiality for his personal information, and the representative agreed.

Ch. 119Dark Continent, the Ultimate Prey of All Hunters (1/5)

Allen discussed his investigation of the Living Island and his plans to explore the Dark Continent with Kido, who agreed to provide research on the worms’ pathogens and treatments. He then left with Fei Jie and Bodrō for Greed Island, intending to get access through the wealthy Batra.

  • Kido warned Allen that the V5 might try to recruit him, and praised his detailed Living Island investigation.
  • Allen explained that his Beast Knowledge ability helped him identify the island’s wildlife and said he wanted to explore the Dark Continent.
  • Allen asked Kido for research on the red worms’ bacteria and viruses, along with vaccines or antibiotics, and admitted his long-term goal was to visit the Dark Continent.
  • Kido agreed to prepare a research report and said developing treatments could take at least six months to a year.
  • Allen met Fei Jie and Bodrō outside the Hunter Association and set off for Greed Island, planning to approach Batra for game slots.

Ch. 120Wealthy Magnate Batra (2/5)

Batra asked Allen to cure his comatose girlfriend, but ordinary potions failed because her brain was damaged. Allen used Reject All to restore her brain, woke her up, and asked Batra to fulfill his promise.

  • Batra asked Zazalala whether Allen could cure his girlfriend, and Zazalala described Allen's reputation as a Bounty Hunter.
  • Allen tried Jungle Potion, healing potions, and Nourishing Potions, but none woke the girl.
  • Allen explained that the girl's brain was damaged, then injured himself to activate Reject All.
  • Reject All's rabbit restored the girl's brain, and she woke up about ten seconds later.
  • Allen healed his wounds, and Batra embraced his girlfriend before acknowledging that he owed Allen.
