Chapter Summaries

As the Randan Empire invaded Savol, the armored protagonist armed himself and his sailors in the Rogue Trader’s hidden depot and prepared to escape. The chapter ended with the group setting out in two Orus carriers and an Eldar Jetbike to face the invading xenos.

• The protagonist ordered the sailors to replace their gear with armor and xenotech weapons, then loaded himself with bolters, ammunition, and grenades.

• You ordered Big Head to take the Orus Armored Personnel Carriers and escape the planet, then rode toward the battle alone.
• You fired your Phobos-pattern Bolter at the Randan alien slaves and dropped Frag Grenades to help the Orks push them back.
• A Randan Xenomorph Brain Eater raised the dead slaves and blocked your attacks with a pale green energy barrier.

Alpharius fought the Randan Xenomorphs alone after his allies were killed or scattered, gradually mastering his Primarch body and killing more of his pursuers. When three Brain Eaters ambushed and badly wounded him, Omegon took control of his body, and the two Primarchs finally spoke to each other.

• Alpharius led the Orks and other escapees in retreat from the Randan Xenomorphs, but the fleeing alliance was captured, scattered, and gradually destroyed.
• After the last Ork sacrificed himself to help Alpharius escape, Alpharius fought alone, improving his skill with the Twin-headed Spear while rationing his supplies.
• The Randan Xenomorphs used black-spiked Landing Craft to hinder Alpharius from finding food and other resources.

The narrator and Omegon escaped the Randan Xenomorphs’ pursuit and struggled to survive in the rugged Gobi. As Omegon taught the narrator wilderness skills, they discovered a Thallax.

• Omegon asked whether Horus’s betrayal was unavoidable, and the narrator argued that Chaos and the Imperium’s hidden dangers made catastrophe likely regardless.
• A Randan Xenomorph attacked, and the narrator killed it with the Twin-headed Spear and its detachable short spear.
• The dead Xenomorph’s body emitted a signal that drew Randan Landing Craft, so the narrator fled with Omegon toward rugged terrain.
• In the seventh week, food became scarce, and Omegon taught the narrator how to find fresh water while recounting his early survival on a deserted planet.

You and Omegon fought six Thallax sent by the Randan Empire to capture you, until Lernaean Terminators and a sea-blue-armored Astartes arrived to help. After the Thallax were defeated at the cost of one Terminator, you and Omegon turned their attention to the unfamiliar Astartes.

• The Thallax surrounded you and tried to capture you for the Randan Empire, and you and Omegon prepared to die rather than be taken.
• Five Lernaean Iron Cavalry Terminators and a sea-blue-armored Astartes teleported in and opened fire on the Thallax.
• You and Omegon took a Bolter and joined the fight as you warned the Astartes about the Thallax's shields and resilience.
• You and a Lernaean Terminator used the Pale Spear and toxin-laced Frag Grenades to destroy a Thallax, and the group adopted the tactic against the others.
• The Thallax's energy attacks killed one Lernaean Terminator, but you and the survivors eliminated all six attackers.
• You and Omegon watched the sea-blue-armored Astartes inspect the fallen Terminator.

You and Omegon reunited with Alpharius on Savol as the Randan invasion advanced, but Alpharius revealed that the Legion’s fleet was badly outmatched and their forces had little support. He then learned of an intact Aquila Lander at a nearby power plant, giving them a possible escape route.

• Alpharius arrived with four Lernaean Terminators, embraced Omegon, and introduced himself as his brother.
• You asked Alpharius how he had found you, and he explained that refugees and sailors had reported seeing him on Savol.
• You and Alpharius spotted the approaching Randan force, and Alpharius said the Legion’s fleet was suffering heavy losses while a Thunderhawk came to retrieve them.
• A Lernaean Terminator reported that an intact Aquila Lander was inside a nearby power plant, and Alpharius proposed using it to escape the planet.

Omegon, Alpharius, and the surviving Honor Guard fought their way through the Randan Xenomorphs toward a landing craft, but nine Thallax merged into a giant worm monster and blocked their escape. Omegon charged it alone so Alpharius could reach the lander, declaring that after today they were all Alpharius.

• The Lernaean Terminators sacrificed themselves to let Omegon and Alpharius escape the pursuing Randan Xenomorphs.
• Omegon, Alpharius, and the narrator used their coordinated tactics to fight through the Xenomorphs and reach the power plant, where they learned the Aquila Lander's location.
• Twenty-two Thallax blocked the route to the landing platform, and Alpharius was badly struck by an energy blast during the ensuing fight.

The narrator and Omegon fought a Slaugth xenos while trying to reach an Aquila Lander, but the creature’s psychic attack destroyed the narrator’s consciousness. The simulation ended with one mental fragment remaining in Omegon’s mind, and the narrator received three retainable options.

• The narrator distracted the Slaugth with a Toxin Frag Grenade while Omegon ran toward the Aquila Lander.
• The narrator resisted the Slaugth’s psychic attack alone as Omegon took control and fought the monster with the Pale Spear and more toxin grenades.
• The Aquila Lander attacked the weakened Slaugth, which poured its remaining psychic power into the narrator’s mind.
• The narrator’s consciousness shattered, leaving one fragment in Omegon’s mind, and the simulation ended after fifty-six days.
• The simulation offered the Pale Spear, an Aquila Lander, and the Pigment Control Sphere as retainable options.

Rorschach gained an active camouflage ability that changed his appearance and a passive ability that made others overlook his presence. After arriving at the rebel base, he asked Zola to gather the rebels and share what they knew about Victor and the Harlin Family so they could plan a rescue.

• Rorschach chose Augmentation Surgery and briefly transformed into a bronze-skinned, bald version of Alpharius before returning to normal.
• Rorschach discovered that people could subconsciously ignore his footsteps and presence, and tested the ability on the chief, Craig, the Bane Brothers, and Gao Qi.

Rorschach and the Stormtroopers infiltrated the Ancient Fortress in Latveria to rescue Victor, the resistance leader held there. After the squad secured the fortress entrance and began clearing its upper levels, Rorschach searched the lower corridors and encountered a drunken officer.

• Rorschach briefed the Stormtroopers on their mission to infiltrate the Ancient Fortress and rescue Victor without pursuing other objectives.

• Doom destroyed the magic-blocking device and accepted Rorschach’s panacea after learning the team could not openly help liberate Latveria.

Cancer Uvarov revealed the alien spacecraft’s role in Leviathan’s origins and his own imprisonment inside his exo-armor, then slaughtered the Harlin Family’s servants and members while the other Zodiacs did nothing.

• Cancer Uvarov killed a servant and traded insults with Aries Evelyn until Gemini intervened and the other Zodiacs separated them.
• Gemini described the deaths and disappearance of several agents, blamed the Terra Astartes Legion, and ordered the Zodiacs to keep Latveria and Harlin City under Leviathan’s control.
• Aries Evelyn asked Cancer Uvarov to explain what he knew about Leviathan’s secrets.
• Cancer Uvarov said he, Gemini, and Nitroman had discovered an alien spacecraft beneath the Black Sea, and revealed that Gemini was fused to it while his exo-armor trapped him.
• Cancer Uvarov attacked and slaughtered the Harlin Family’s servants and members as the other Zodiacs watched without stopping him.

Doom and Rorschach led the rebels toward Harlin City, where Leviathan’s Twelve Houses had slaughtered much of the Harlin Family. Doom’s sorcery broke open the city wall, and as the rebels launched their assault, Iron Man David reported that Rorschach had reached the target area to begin the Decapitation Strike.

• Doom asked Rorschach when they would attack, and Rorschach explained the plan to seize key facilities while he and the Stormtroopers targeted the seven superpowered enemies.
• Doom rallied nearly a thousand rebels and led them in declaring the liberation of Latveria and Harlin City.
• Rebel rockets struck Harlin City’s outer defenses as Doom used sorcery to collapse the sealed entrance and much of the city wall.
• Doom ordered the rebel assault teams to charge through the breach and reported that the main battlefield was progressing smoothly.
• Iron Man David confirmed that Rorschach had reached the target area and would begin the Decapitation Strike.

Rorschach and the Stormtrooper squad attacked Harlin Palace, fighting its alien-armored defenders and superhuman allies. After killing two attackers, Rorschach joined the struggle against a humanoid crab and raised the Scythe of Blood to strike it.

• Rorschach and the Stormtrooper squad landed in Harlin City and attacked soldiers near Harlin Palace.
• A crimson-armored humanoid crab emerged from the palace, while an ice-wielding woman attacked Rorschach and a young woman used an energy whip to disarm him.
• Rorschach killed the young woman with a Frost Grenade, then smashed through the ice wall and crushed the disguised ice superhuman’s head.
• Rorschach ordered David to bring the Scythe of Blood and charged the humanoid crab, slamming it to the ground as the weapon arrived.
• Rorschach caught the Scythe of Blood and brought its green-lit blade down toward the fallen crab.

Rorschach killed Cancer, learned the remaining Zodiac members’ locations and Gemini’s weakness, then helped destroy Harlin Palace. He hurried to aid Doom, who was being overwhelmed by a swift, muscular Zodiac fighter.

• Rorschach cut Cancer in half, and Cancer revealed that Libra and Aquarius were fighting near the city wall while Scorpio and Capricorn were hiding in the palace.
• Cancer refused Rorschach’s offer to save him, explained how to reach Gemini, and died after asking Rorschach to tell Gemini that his debts with Uvarov were settled.
• Rorschach ordered Iron Man David to bombard Harlin Palace, where the Stormtroopers killed a flaming attacker as the palace collapsed.
