Sitting in the SUV, Xiao Ran glanced at the Flag in the rearview mirror, then at the large black suitcase and casual clothes on the passenger seat. He curled his lip, activated the vehicle's navigation system, floored the accelerator, and drove away from the abandoned building he had awakened in along the rugged mountain road.
As for the Flag, Xiao Ran had no intention of acquiring it at all. Not only was it merely D-rank, but piloting it anywhere would be extremely inconvenient. Unless he transported it somewhere beyond anyone's jurisdiction—but if he had the ability to send it to such a place, why would he bother piloting a mere D-rank machine?
Several hours had already passed since he entered this world. The inexplicable test had ended, yet Main Mission One still had not been issued. Xiao Ran found that rather strange. At present, he also had no way to obtain information from the Outside World, nor could he tell whether the plot had already begun. However, according to the car's navigation, he was currently within UNION territory, still very far from New York, where Sheryl was. In short, there was no way he could reach Sheryl's location anytime soon with this SUV.

More than three hours later, Xiao Ran arrived in a city whose name he had never even heard before. Thinking about it, though, that was only natural. Before coming to Prometheus, he had merely been an ordinary
