Chapter 1099: Accident
When the Landing Force led by Luo and Kane entered the Steel, they found its crew wearing expressions full of anger and unwillingness, yet still cooperating with New Jior's Landing Force as they accepted control. Kane immediately led his people onto the bridge and took complete control of it.
The takeover proceeded exceptionally smoothly, though there were a few minor hiccups. There was no resistance or fighting at all, and the units from the Steel that Xiao Ran had disabled were brought aboard one after another. By the end, the people rescuing the Steel and salvaging the wreckage of its units had instead become the logistics troops from the New Jior.
As usual, they were given blankets and hot coffee, then watched over by a group of soldiers. The process could not exactly be called friendly, but there was not the slightest targeted hostility, leaving the rescued members of the mech forces rather bewildered. Xiao Ran had never executed prisoners, after all. Even many who had once been enemies had now more or less joined Xiao Ran's Burning Legion. Following that same tradition, the rescue and logistics troops had inherited Xiao Ran's style during post-battle rescue operations.
