After the point of light representing the Darkness Sky Tactical Armor caught up with New Jior, two more points of the same color converged from beside New Jior behind the Darkness Sky. Three points of light, yet four machines, sped toward the location where the gravitational anomaly had appeared.
On the screen, the two new machines followed closely behind, one to the left and one to the right: the Strike Freedom Gundam piloted by Kira and the Infinite Justice Gundam piloted by Athrun. Though their names inherited those of their original machines, and their appearances were over seventy percent similar, they were enhanced versions that had fully inherited the original concepts. They now used Tactical Armor with performance surpassing that of the Meteor Unit and remained tightly behind the Darkness Sky.
Although only three machines were speeding ahead, another machine unable to use Tactical Armor was clinging to Athrun's Tactical Armor—the Savage piloted by Basak.
Once the three machines reached their speed limits, they shut down the Solar Furnace synchronization and continued onward using the thrust and inertia of their Thermonuclear Energy Engines.
While still far from where the Void Envoys had appeared, the four of them could already see the enemies ahead through their cockpit screens: the enormous white star flickering with lights of various colors, dozens of warships, countless bug drones, and MS units marked with red frames.
Athrun glanced at the number of enemies scanned on the screen. There were as many bug drones as bees around a hive, while the scanned enemy MS units alone numbered over three hundred. That did not even include the targets that had yet to be detected. On their side, only four machines could fight for the time being.
