At Xiao Ran's command, Athrun and Graham immediately led the machines, divided into two groups, and flew out to rendezvous with the fighter and MS units that had regrouped after scattering. Among them, Athrun and Kira were undoubtedly the most skilled pure pilots, but Kira lacked Athrun and Graham's command ability. Thus, Xiao Ran naturally chose Athrun and Graham as the leaders.
Athrun's team included Bally, Basak, Luo, and Zechs; Graham's team included Kira, Stella and the Three strong ones, Saki Maski, and Nalo. Of course, there were far more people than just them. As the flagship of the Mwu Fleet, the Burning Legion carried not only Kira, Athrun, Bally, and Stella's Three strong ones, but also quite a few Pseudo A-Class, B-class Pilot Ace Pilots from the 0079 World and the SEED World.
These Ace Pilots had also been deployed near Xiao Ran's Darkness Sky during the standoff with the Zovok. Once Xiao Ran's order was issued, nearly twenty ace machines followed Athrun and Graham as they split apart into two teams, joined up with the Variable Fighters and regular MS Units, and took the lead as the sharp edge of the spear.
One machine that did not belong to the Burning Legion chose to remain beside the Darkness Sky. It was entirely white, with a green crystal embedded in its chest and a ring mounted atop its head—the Royal Knight Grandite, Frie's Throne Mecha.
Shanamia's gentle voice, tinged with concern, sounded in Xiao Ran's ear. "With the enemy's strength, shouldn't we send more reinforcements? At this distance, Frie can jump here directly."
