The image on the screen had been captured from the Flying Dragon's perspective. The most conspicuous thing was a massive Deep Pit. At its center stood a circular stone pillar of unknown diameter, rising into the sky. Atop it, an azure dragon and a white tiger let out endless roars. Countless dark clouds blanketed the heavens, lightning twisting through them.
It should have been afternoon, yet the scene on the screen was exceptionally dim, as though that entire space had been affected by some inexplicable force. The location shown in the footage felt even more oppressive and stifling, while the thunderous roars of lightning overhead sounded like the sky itself was raging.
Countless wrecks belonging to the Rebel Forces lay scattered throughout the scene. Some had crashed to the ground, burning amid billowing black smoke. Others appeared completely undamaged from the outside, yet they too lay motionless on the ground in all sorts of twisted poses. It looked like the end of the world.
But none of that meant anything to Xiao Ran. What truly drew his attention were the densely packed monsters filling the Deep Pit. They resembled one-eyed creatures somewhat like crayfish, with green vines draped in blue armor. Both the vines and armor constantly wriggled. One after another, they raised their heads and howled at the sky, emanating an uncomfortable red glow as they tightly surrounded the dragon and tiger atop the towering pillar.
So these were the Native Species, an unknown race that had existed on Earth since ancient times and watched over it... the Dragon King Machine and Tiger King Machine... These thoughts flashed through Xiao Ran's mind. He turned and sat back down in his chair, ordering, "Connect me to the Flying Dragon."
