When Xiao Ran appeared outside White Star with Sanger and Elsam, the Steel Dragon Squad, Zovok, and Native Species had already become a tangled melee. The three sides traded blows as explosions continuously flashed across White Star's steel hull.
Although the Steel Dragon Squad had lost several members due to the Native Species inside White Star, the total combat strength of its four warships had not fallen by much. After Xiao Ran's efforts, the Steel Dragon Squad's strength and numbers had been developed to their highest level. Perhaps the members' skills could not yet compare to those of the later stages of the original story, but their numbers had absolutely surpassed those of the original Steel Dragon Squad.
Even so, the Steel Dragon Squad still had the fewest forces among the three sides. The Native Species had the second most, including quite a few new models. Aside from the low-level Native Species that looked like little crayfish, there were also many white Native Species with claw-like forms, as well as Native Species clad in full armor like battlefield generals.
The Zovok fleet had the greatest numbers. Its drones were so numerous as to be terrifying. Yet precisely because of that, Zovok suffered the most attacks. Whether it was the Steel Dragon Squad or the Native Species, most of their attacks were directed at Zovok.
However, two people had not been attacked by the Native Species even once from beginning to end. The Native Species vaguely formed an encircling posture around them, though "surveillance" was a more fitting word than "encirclement." Exeline and Kyosuke Nanbu were receiving that particular "special treatment" from the Native Species.
When Xiao Ran appeared with Darkness Sky, the Steel Dragon Squad appeared to be in the most disadvantaged position on the battlefield. They had to resist
