Shirakawa Shuu's voice rang through the communications system in Xiao Ran's cockpit. It was as though he had anticipated Xiao Ran's arrival long ago. "So my appearance was part of your calculations as well." Xiao Ran's voice was calm and indifferent. His golden eyes watched every movement on the screen as his hands rapidly guided Dawn from side to side. He raised the twin lance cannons before its chest once more and unleashed another terrifying attack.
This attack, however, was completely different. The enormous beam that shot forth began splitting continuously—once, twice—transforming into countless beams that blanketed the monster's head. Beam after beam crossed space and struck the monster's armor, sending circular ripples spreading outward and triggering explosion after explosion, splashing countless streams of green fluid from its body.
In particular, the countless eyes growing across the monster's surface became Xiao Ran's primary targets. From Xiao Ran's observations, these eyes did not merely possess vision; they could also unleash Beam Attacks. Most of the beams had been fired from those eyes.
