Kim Kido and the other three stayed in Xiao Ran's room for a little over an hour before finally taking their leave. They had learned a great deal from Xiao Ran, yet even more questions had arisen. As for Xiao Ran's true identity, they had not managed to pry out even the slightest clue. Instead, all four of them felt as though Xiao Ran had seen straight through them.
No matter what, they were now even more certain of Xiao Ran's extraordinary nature. Ryoma also no longer questioned how two machines could possibly wipe out their entire group. In his heart, he felt that Xiao Ran might truly be capable of such a thing.
Tetsuya had also repeatedly caught the faintly amused expression on Xiao Ran's face and guessed that Xiao Ran had likely discovered he was pretending to have amnesia. But Xiao Ran said nothing, and Tetsuya was more than happy to keep silent as well.
It was only after they had gone quite some distance from Xiao Ran's quarters that Wilt, seemingly unable to hold himself back any longer, asked the other three, "Do you think what he said was true? All of it?"
Tetsuya remained silent. In the eyes of the other three, he was an amnesiac, and as an amnesiac, it was best for him to speak as little as possible. Ryoma was silent as well, still hung up on the fact that Xiao Ran possessed a Getter. Getter Rays, the three-unit separation—those were things people from other worlds should not have known about. The only possibility was that Xiao Ran truly had a Getter, and had studied it for a very long time.
Kim Kido became the only one to answer Wilt's question. With a thoughtful expression, he said, "Perhaps it was true. He had
