Chapter 1397: Drones
A blackish-purple Beam Cannon streaked with surging electromagnetic currents and radiating a peculiar fluctuation fired from the front of the Burning Legion. Along its path, countless warship wrecks and fragments turned to ash the instant the beam swept past them. The blinding light made many of those watching shut their eyes.
Once the enormous beam fired from the Burning Legion, its intense fluctuations finally triggered a tremendous reaction within the Dimensional Rift. Rings of visible ripples appeared alongside the beam's expanding patterns, growing faster and faster until they flickered into a massive circular ring.
The ring appeared not far ahead of the Burning Legion. At the Burning Legion's speed, they would reach it in mere dozens of seconds. This enormous ring was precisely the path out of the Dimensional Rift and back into normal space.
As soon as the gateway appeared, the Gamillas ships started their engines without warning and charged toward the ring at maximum speed.
On the other side, Xiao Ran accelerated in his nearly fifty-meter-tall machine and appeared to Yamato's left. Ahead of him, all of Yamato's deployed units, led by the machine called VangRay, were resisting the newly appeared enemies and preventing them from approaching Yamato.
"Come to think of it, this VangRay feels somewhat like an Armament Unit, yet it seems especially similar to the enemy machines that appeared here. Is it the protagonist's machine? Did these enemies come because of it?" Xiao Ran narrowed his eyes slightly and made several rapid movements in the cockpit, thinking, VangRay must have something special about it. Whether it's these newly appeared enemies or VangRay itself, both seem worth studying.
With Xiao Ran's movements, Dawn, stationed beside Yamato, spread its arms. More than a dozen GN Dragoons popped out from various parts of the machine,
