Mai Senpuuji walked up to Renard and the other three, stopped before them, and began introducing himself with one hand on his hip. "Nice to meet you. I'm Mai Senpuuji, president of the Senpuuji Conglomerate. Thank you for helping me during the battle earlier. I just hadn't expected you to be from Orb."
Souji froze for a moment, staring at the young Mai Senpuuji in astonishment. "You're the pilot of the Train Fighter from earlier!"
"That's right." Mai Senpuuji nodded with a smile. "I came specifically to thank you this time. As a token of our gratitude, the Senpuuji Conglomerate will handle the maintenance and resupply of your machines."
Souji nodded without speaking, instead turning his gaze toward Renard. This caused Mai Senpuuji to look at Renard as well. Smiling, Mai Senpuuji extended his hand and said, "I know you. Mr. Renard, here from Orb for an exchange program. I received notice from the butler yesterday, but I had other matters to attend to, so I wasn't able to meet you."
Renard nodded lightly and shook Mai Senpuuji's hand. "Hello, President Senpuuji."
"No need to be so formal. Just call me Mai." Mai wore a bright smile as he said politely, "When I learned that the hero of the world had actually sent someone to the Senpuuji Conglomerate for an exchange and study program, I was quite startled. It is our honor to have been noticed by that person and to have someone sent here."
"However..." Mai Senpuuji looked toward the two machines parked some distance away and asked with some confusion, "If this is only for an academic exchange, there shouldn't have been any need to bring along two machines like these. If possible, could you tell me your true purpose for coming here?"
