As Xiao Ran spoke, Jill's expression shifted from astonishment to shock, then from shock to silence. She had known that the entire world, aside from the Founding United Nations, had been affected as Xiao Ran said, but precisely because she knew, she was shocked that Xiao Ran could know so much.
Especially the War of Freedom—it should have been classified beyond classified. Yet Xiao Ran, who should not have known about it, had somehow learned of it. Jill was no longer merely curious about why Xiao Ran knew these things; she had become extremely wary of him.
What Xiao Ran had said about Innovators being able to sense others' emotions made Jill feel a trace of fear. Facing Xiao Ran made her feel as though she had been completely seen through, as though she had no secrets at all in his eyes. It made her profoundly uncomfortable.
But Jill quickly came to her senses. The ease and composure vanished from her face, replaced by a deep frown. In the end, she only said two words: "Celestial Being."
"That's right. I did learn about the War of Freedom from Celestial Being. However, much of Celestial Being's intelligence was lost during the previous rebellion by the artificial Innovators, and information about the War of Freedom was among what was lost."
Xiao Ran smiled openly and said without concealing anything, "Although I know of the War of Freedom, I don't know its true details. I can roughly guess it was an operation launched to deal with some organization or person. As for everything else, it was inferred after gathering intelligence."
Jill took a deep breath and did her best to calm herself before speaking to Xiao Ran evenly. "I don't know where you obtained this information, but everything you said is only speculation.
