Chapter 1642: Gone Wild
As the machines launched once more, every unit capable of flight hovered around Xiao Ran's Daybreak. Tetsuya's Great Mazinger stood to the left, while Kouji Kabuto's Mazinger Z was on the right. The non-flying units—EVA and the Ironmen—stood directly before the institute, primarily tasked with covering the evacuation of the personnel behind them.
In the air ahead of the machines, twisted rifts appeared once again. Black light shot from those warped fissures and fell into the enormous Deep Pit, transforming in the blink of an eye into strange creations with human faces that seemed neither fully biological nor fully mechanical.
"Mycenaean Gods!? How is that possible?" Kouji Kabuto's stunned voice suddenly rang out. "Weren't they all wiped out!?"
A heavy, profound voice suddenly sounded. At the very rear of the monster horde, the expression of the creature that radiated an overwhelming sense of oppression began to change, revealing a look of enjoyment. "It has been a long time since I descended into the material world."
Before that monster, another armored creature, equally biological in appearance, sighed emotionally. "We have Tristan and Isolde's loyal service to thank for this. It can be assumed that they sacrificed their lives to carry out the resurrection ritual."
The monster that had spoken first nodded. "Mm. Then let us grant them their reward."
As its voice fell, its enormous arms spread wide, and black energy surged from its body. "In the name of Hades, King of the Underworld, I command it! Let the souls of Tristan and Isolde be reborn together with their new flesh!"
"Reborn my ass!" With Xiao Ran's furious roar, massive energy burst from Daybreak's cannon muzzle. The surging power nearly warped space itself, scorching the air while seeming to pierce through space as it charged straight toward
