In a pitch-black world with no distinction between up and down, a lone figure drifted alone. Who knew how much time had passed—one second, or one year? The solitary figure suddenly opened his eyes and stared blankly at the endless darkness around him. Other than the darkness and himself, there was nothing to see.
A trace of emptiness flashed through Kouji Kabuto's heart, but the faint song ringing in his ears instantly replaced that emptiness with stubbornness and courage. He clenched his fist, effortlessly brought his body under control, and looked around. "Where is this? Why am I here?"
"No, that's not right. I know this place. It's a world where neither time nor space has an end. But why do I know that?"
Confusion flickered in Kouji Kabuto's eyes. Then, a calm yet weighty voice rang out from every direction. "I have waited a long time for you, Koji..."
