From the very start of the battle against the Invader Beasts, everything proceeded smoothly according to plan. More than a thousand warships fired their main guns simultaneously at the massive swarm of Invader Beasts. There was the Burning Legion's MARCOSS Cannon, the Yamato's Wave Cannon, and the Getter Ray fired by the True Getter Dragon. It was equivalent to a simultaneous barrage from thousands of main guns, supplemented by countless secondary batteries of every size. The spectacle was simply dazzling.
It was like watching a meteor shower streak across the sky from beneath the surface, brilliant lights shooting in the same direction. Behind those beams, countless missiles fired by the Burning Legion, together with missiles launched by the Gamillas warships, followed close behind, their dense white contrails blanketing the Invader Beasts. Unlike the colorful trails left by the beams, this time the explosions blossomed into enormous fireballs that flared briefly in space with intense light.
Among those fireballs, the white ones belonged to Reaction Missiles. The heat produced by Reaction Missiles of all sizes was terrifying, utterly reducing an unknown number of Invader Beast monsters at the forefront to dust. The yellow fireballs belonged to High Explosive Rounds. Besides their considerable explosive power, they could melt the armor of most units. They were the Burning Legion's most common and frequently used missile type.
The black ones were the most unusual. Black tinged with purple, they formed purple-black spheres that emitted no light at all, instead absorbing the light around them. After the missiles exploded, they created black-purple spheres that rapidly expanded to roughly twenty to twenty-five meters in diameter. Unlike High Explosive Rounds and small Reaction Missiles, which began dissipating after only a short time, these spheres stubbornly persisted much longer, remaining exceptionally stable in their expanding black-purple form.
