Dark Nova gave Xiao Ran an extremely dangerous feeling. The strange fluctuations it emitted could repel GN Particles, which was proof enough. Most of Xiao Ran's expanded abilities required GN Particles to function, including basic quantum teleportation and his control over the battlefield, not to mention the GN Particle control granted by Quantum Assimilation.

If he had not fused with the Psychokinesis Bloodline, and had not obtained the Ougang Extractor to create Dawn, then all of Xiao Ran's abilities would have been restricted to a terrifying extent. Most of the additional capabilities granted by GN Particles would have vanished completely, leaving him able to rely only on the techniques he had fully mastered and certain skills unaffected by GN Particle dispersal.

However, it was worth noting that although the fluctuations generated by Dark Nova could repel already dispersed GN Particles and create a vacuum zone devoid of them, Dawn's own GN Solar Furnace was unaffected. The GN Particle beams fired from its weapons were likewise unaffected.

It was only that newly generated GN Particles would continue to be repelled from Dark Nova's area of influence. Even so, this still restricted Xiao Ran to a considerable degree.

But the current Xiao Ran possessed not only the Innovator Bloodline, which relied heavily on GN Particles to expand his strength without limit, but also the Psychokinesis Bloodline. He also had another special energy source in the Ougang Extractor. Thus, even if he could not disperse GN Particles under these circumstances, Xiao Ran still retained tremendous combat power. He had merely lost the enhancements brought by particle dispersal.

If he had encountered such a situation with only the Innovator Bloodline, it might have reduced his combat performance by nearly a third. That would indeed have been a major problem for Xiao Ran, but now
