Two men in United Nations Army uniforms opened the office door and walked in. Both looked to be in their forties or fifties. One wore a brigadier general's insignia on his shoulder, while the other held the rank of lieutenant colonel.
After entering the office, the two froze when they saw four people positioned around the room. The middle-aged lieutenant colonel immediately shoved the brigadier general behind him and stepped forward, loudly demanding, "Who are you? Which unit are you from? Why are you here? You're getting more and more unruly. Is this a place you're allowed to enter? The military police need to investigate exactly what you've been doing."
"A wonderful performance." Yuzes slowly rose from the seat reserved for the commander-in-chief of Yukon Base. He lightly applauded as though offering praise, but his eyes revealed nothing but indifference and contempt, as if the two men before him were no more than insects.
This was Yuzes's true face. Other than those who came from the Burning Legion like himself, humans were nothing more than insects and tools in his eyes. The humans of this world were even more worthless trash to him—useless things that did nothing but waste resources.
"Though I find your performance interesting, this is my first time, after all. I don't want to do anything unnecessary and bring myself needless trouble because of an accident. So this time, I'd prefer to be more direct." As Yuzes spoke, his cold eyes lit up with an inhuman blue glow. The light shot from his eyes and directly entered the eyes of the brigadier general and lieutenant colonel.
The next moment, the brigadier general and lieutenant colonel, who had been tense inside while pretending to be angry, suddenly became blank-faced. They respectfully walked up to Yuzes and bowed. "Sir."
