Xiao Ran did not know that Saki was amusing herself by teasing Miyoshi Meiya on the rooftop. Instead, he headed straight for Yuzes's project laboratory beneath the base. The moment he entered, he saw Naza, Basak, Graham, Na Luo, and the others who had returned from space on the real-time communication screen.
Xiao Ran did not waste time on pleasantries. He walked up to the communication screen, stopped, and asked directly, "How is it?"
"Very bad." Graham answered Xiao Ran's question. His brows furrowed slightly, as though recalling the results of their investigation. "The entire Solar System is filled with BETA. Other than the Moon, the major planets in the Solar System are in even worse condition than Earth is now. Jupiter and Mars in particular have been almost completely occupied by BETA. The number of BETA throughout the Solar System is simply impossible to calculate. We also discovered a new type of large BETA, temporarily designated Fortress Laser Class. It should be a type used for BETA's space combat forces. Its individual combat strength can be ignored, but its numbers are terrifying."
"Based on our findings, completing the mission would practically require sweeping through the entire Solar System. However, we currently lack a more effective space-based detection system for BETA. Our current methods of detecting BETA are far too rudimentary, and even with drones added to our forces, we cannot monitor the entire Solar System."
Hearing this, Xiao Ran fell silent for a moment before saying, "I'll have Yuzes work with Luo, Renard, and Shirakawa Shuu to find a solution. Aside from the newly discovered Fortress Laser Class, did you find any other new types of BETA?"
Graham shook his head. "No. The Fortress Laser Class is not much of a threat to us, but it is terrifyingly dangerous
