While every faction was busy dealing with the locusts, a meteor shower descended upon Earth. This bizarre meteor shower arrived in the worst possible way, appearing without warning and crashing down onto the planet. At the time, countless fireballs could be seen falling from space across nearly half of Earth's skies, kicking up huge clouds of dust as they landed in different places.
The territories once controlled by ZAFT, as well as the territories it still controlled after pulling back its forces, became the primary targets of the meteor shower. Two-thirds of the meteors landed within that vast region.
The meteor shower had appeared and struck Earth without being detected at all, throwing the whole world into tension once more. Earth Force, Orb, and ZAFT all dispatched personnel to investigate the meteor sites, but soon afterward, vast and strange forests began appearing wherever the meteors had fallen. Whether in deserts or grasslands, cities or wastelands, forests sprang from the ground in an incredibly short time, drawing intense attention from countless people.
Xiao Ran was among those watching the changes in those forests. He knew even more clearly that the changes brought by this meteor shower were surely a sign that new enemies had appeared. Yet he had no idea what would emerge from those forests. Just as he knew little about the Glatters Army, he knew just as little about these forests.
He had considered whether this might be some plot twist related to D-BOY, but these forests felt far too different from the armored transformations in Xiao Ran's memory. They looked more like something related to Getter, perhaps Invader Beasts or something of that sort. Yet Xiao Ran was certain that this world contained nothing related to Getter at all.
In any case, although the suddenly appearing forests had
