Xiao Ran spent several hours in his office dealing with the thick stack of documents that had piled up over the past two days, finally clearing all of it. There were electronic files and paper files alike; the endless text left him dizzy. He shook his head and pressed the communicator for the secretary's office.
"Naluo, come in."
A few seconds later, Naluo knocked on the office door and pushed it open. She walked up to Xiao Ran before asking, "General, what is it?"
"Have someone collect these documents. Also, ask Graham and Billy when they'll arrive."
Naluo gathered a large stack of files from the desk, nodded to Xiao Ran, then hesitantly asked, "General, are you going there? Can you take me with you?"
Xiao Ran glanced at Naluo and smiled faintly. "You're my secretary now. Wherever I go, naturally you'll go with me."
A smile immediately appeared on Naluo's face. "Thank you, General."
"Go on." Xiao Ran waved his hand. Once Naluo had left the office, he stood and stretched a little before taking out his phone and calling Sheryl.
"Where are you now?"
Sheryl's cheerful voice came through. "Shopping. What else would I be doing? I bought so many things."
Xiao Ran checked the time. It was almost lunchtime, so he asked, "If you haven't eaten yet, I'll come find you and we can eat together."
"Then hurry up. I'm waiting for you on First Commercial Avenue. That's it for now, I'm still busy."
"Mm." Xiao Ran hung up and shook his head. He walked into the lounge beside his office and opened the wardrobe. Aside from several sets of military uniforms, there were also several decent casual outfits, along with shoes, socks, and ties. They were all sharp suits, but he couldn't exactly run around everywhere
