Although Mihail was merely a copied human, he had undergone plenty of training as well. After catching the pistol Xiao Ran tossed at him in stunned surprise, he could tell from its weight alone that it contained neither blanks nor an empty magazine. The weight in his hand told him it was fully loaded. All he had to do was raise it and fire, and he could take a life.
Xiao Ran was briefly taken aback when he saw Graham step in front of him. He then pulled Graham behind him and took a step toward Mihail. "What? Weren't you dissatisfied with me? Didn't I tell you to prove your temper to me? If you pull the trigger, perhaps the person you dislike—me—will die by your hand. Then wouldn't your dissatisfaction be gone?"
Listening to Xiao Ran's words, Mihail could not help taking a step back under the pressure of that eerie smile on the half of Xiao Ran's face exposed beneath the mask. His hands trembled as he gripped the pistol tightly, staring blankly at Xiao Ran without being able to say a word.
Seeing the coldness in Xiao Ran's smile and his utterly fearless, confident attitude, John glanced at his younger brother, who was already at a loss and whose eyes had begun to show madness. He swung a fist at Mihail's face, knocking him heavily to the ground. The pistol bounced several times across the floor before sliding away.
"Mihail, I'm warning you. You must show Mr. Alex proper respect." John stood before Mihail, glaring down at him with both eyes as he roared in a low voice.
"Brother John." Mihail lay on his side, one hand covering his reddened cheek and the other braced against the floor. After gritting his teeth, he finally nodded. "I understand.
