Lloyd was no fool. He had independently led the development of a next-generation machine like the Lancelot, along with several brand-new pieces of equipment. Of course Lloyd was no fool.
But no matter how next-generation the Lancelot was, it was still a machine intended for small-scale land warfare on Earth. Some of its equipment looked highly advanced, but in truth, it could not even make use of beam weapons. Its materials, structure, and technology were only so-so. At best, it was C-class.
Variable Fighters, however, were an entirely new framework and series unlike KFs, and they were primarily intended for interplanetary combat. It was like saying they were both cars—except one was a compact economy car, and the other was a Bugatti. The gap was terrifying.
In order to finish modifying the Variable Fighters as quickly as possible, Xiao Ran had spent most of his time at the Special Dispatch Bureau ever since he used GEASS to control that group of Technicians. Even Lloyd had not spent as much time there as he had. After all, Lloyd still had to take responsibility for relocating the Special Dispatch Bureau.
During this process, in order to make these still-inexperienced Technicians truly become familiar with and understand the specialized technology needed to complete the Variable Fighters, Xiao Ran had no choice but to force himself to memorize all the technical material first. Pressured by the current situation, he had actively begun studying the technology in those documents. It was no longer like before, when he merely understood it but could not make it himself. This was something that had never happened in any previous mission.
In previous missions, when Luo was around, he handled everything technical. Xiao Ran never needed to personally deal with all those incredibly tedious figures and technologies. Even without
