The Purple Wind battleship carrying Xiao Ran floated on the ocean. Beside it, Danner's Son, which had changed little, rose from the sea and surfaced. After Xiao Ran led Saki, Miyoshi Meiya, El-Elf, and over a dozen members of a Landing Force off the Purple Wind and onto Danner's Son, the Purple Wind slowly lifted into the air before plunging into the FOLD channel once more and vanishing without a trace.
Danner's Son's elevator platform slowly descended, while the deck overhead began to close. As the platform lowered, the dozen or so Landing Force members around him tightened their grips on their weapons and decisively, yet inconspicuously, spread out a little. Miyoshi Meiya lightly squeezed the long sword still sheathed at her left hand and stepped in front of Xiao Ran.
As the elevator platform gradually reached its position, Tessa, with her silver hair, slowly came into Xiao Ran's view. Dressed in a captain's uniform, Tessa looked much more mature. After all, Xiao Ran had been gone from this world for two years. Unlike Renard, whose appearance had not changed at all, Tessa's body had continued to grow with the passage of time.
At Tessa's side and behind her stood quite a few Danner's Son crew members holding weapons as well. Yet when Xiao Ran appeared before them, none of them made any overly tense or dangerous moves, allowing the Landing Force members protecting Xiao Ran to breathe a small sigh of relief.
None of the Landing Force members would have been afraid or worried if a conflict broke out. The crushing advantage brought by technology was simply unbeatable. It was only obvious that the other side had deep ties to Xiao Ran, and they did not want the situation to become any more complicated.
