When Xiao Ran and the other three returned separately, Sheryl was still awake. Seeing Xiao Ran come back, she put down the game she had been playing and looked at him. "How did it go?"
"Not especially well, but it's still under control." Xiao Ran shook his head and told Sheryl everything that had happened with Chidori. After listening, Sheryl said in surprise, "A true Same-body? Neither Lacus nor Shanamia had anything like that."
"There are still some differences. Shanamia and the others are merely different people from two different worlds. But for Chidori Kaname and Sophia, their souls are somewhat like one person's. Chidori Kaname is the version of herself Sophia imagined into existence—that's roughly what it means. You can think of this world as one Sophia imagined."
Sheryl shook her head. "This situation is way too complicated. So you're planning to have us use our singing to influence that girl?"
"Yeah." Xiao Ran nodded. "After all, your songs can stabilize the mind and soul."
Sheryl nodded in agreement, then asked, "Do you think Chidori Kaname knows about her current situation?"
Xiao Ran pondered for a moment. "Hard to say. We still don't know whether Sophia's influence on Chidori is direct or subconscious. But based on our observations, it seems more like subconscious influence. As a Whispered Confidant, Chidori's situation is rather complicated."
Sheryl shook her head, gave a soft yawn, and set her game aside. "Fine, I understand. I'll pay more attention to that girl. Get some rest early."
"Mm."
Nothing happened that night. When Xiao Ran woke up the next day, Sheryl was already gone. After washing up and getting dressed, he headed downstairs and immediately saw Saki Maski sitting in the living room.
Xiao Ran asked, "You're the only one
