Several passages appeared out of nowhere ahead of the fleet, tearing through space and creating an interdimensional highway from another encirclement beyond this dimension. Dimensional Beasts emerged from them one after another. Possessing no intelligence to speak of, they never realized that where they had appeared was not their destination, but that they had been redirected through a more unusual channel to Jupiter space, unimaginably far from Earth.
In this empty stretch of space, the Dimensional Beasts began roaring without being affected in the slightest. Yet there was no air to carry their roars any farther, nor was there anything they could destroy. Only the Burning Legion fleet waiting in formation before them became the sole target in their eyes. Under the influence of a special force, even Dimensional Beasts with no apparent means of propulsion began moving rapidly through space, far faster than they ever had on Earth. The unique environment of space even granted every Dimensional Beast a special kind of "flight" ability.
Xiao Ran had also piloted the Dragon God Mecha, which had evolved once more, above the Burning Legion fleet. His expression remained blank as he watched the few Dimensional passages appear in the distance.
The appearance of only a few Dimensional passages was a good thing. It proved that the Dimensional Beasts' renewed invasion of this world was neither a large-scale nor all-out attack, but merely a routine operation intended to disrupt dimensional stability. That was why the Dimensional Beasts appeared at a fixed frequency—it made it easier for them to invade this world.
Besides Xiao Ran's Dragon God Mecha, the machines piloted by Luo and the others were scattered around the fleet in every direction, leaving the front completely exposed. Rows of MS, Variable Fighters, and all manner of other units did the same.
