The Federation's greatest obstacle, that highly capable team, had chosen to withdraw directly. This meant that the only force capable of threatening Xiao Ran's upcoming plans within the Federation no longer existed. Before leaving, however, their final attacks on the city had indeed eliminated many people, including quite a few diehard Federation loyalists, but also some who had secretly begun contacting Anaheim.
That wave of attacks threw the Federation into complete chaos, practically pushing it straight to the brink of collapse. What had once been a whole was torn into countless fragments, quickly evolving into a situation of warlords fighting among themselves. While this did help the following operations to some extent, it also brought trouble. It was not until the first unification conference began that the situation was brought under control.
The establishment of the Unification was inevitable and the natural course of events. All the colonies throughout the universe had now united. The various factions and parties left behind on Earth after the Federal High-level had been completely wiped out could do nothing about it. After all, the space colonies had become extremely important to Earth in the current world, and most of the resources Earth needed were supplied by them.
