Yet the Bargyll Xiao Ran knew was currently aboard Orb's Dawn warship. The Bargyll standing here was identical to that one in build, eye color, and voice. Perhaps the only difference was their expressions. Though the Bargyll aboard the Dawn usually wore a calm expression, beneath that calmness were occasional traces of smiles and warmth, helplessness and anger.
But this Bargyll aboard the Second Archangel radiated utter coldness from beginning to end, inside and out. It was as though no emotional fluctuation beyond indifference could be found in her.
If Xiao Ran knew, if everyone aboard the Archangel knew that there was another Bargyll aboard this Second Archangel, then perhaps Xiao Ran alone, shocked though he might be, could accept it. Everyone else would likely be badly frightened by this inexplicably appearing Bargyll, while the Bargyll aboard the Dawn would probably be scared senseless on the spot.
Why was there another Bargyll aboard the Second Archangel? The answer to that question already existed, but the questions that followed would become extremely difficult to explain or pursue.
