When Luo and Basak heard the name Master Asia spoke, their faces filled with astonishment. They knew who Kyoji was—Domon's older brother, and also the "pilot" of the Devil Gundam. More precisely, he was the Devil Gundam's Living CPU. But why he had appeared here was something neither of them understood.
Kyoji stood there in spotless clothing without a speck of dust on it. His eyes radiated evil, and a dark, vicious smile hung on his face. He clapped with an unnerving rhythm, every interval exactly the same, without the slightest variation.
Yet Master Asia saw something entirely different: a rigid body, confusion beneath those evil eyes, dullness beneath that dark sneer. Looking at Kyoji was like looking at a body possessed by a demon, a puppet already assimilated by the devil.
"No, this is not Kyoji. At least, not entirely Kyoji!" Master Asia's eyes sharpened instantly. At some point, his sash had already returned to his hand. He softly told the two behind him, "I'll buy you time. Get back into your machines immediately."
Luo and Basak did not refuse Master Asia's goodwill. Perhaps they understood that without being inside their machines, they would only hold Master Asia back and offer him no help at all. Judging from his guarded stance, they could tell that even without the Devil Gundam at his side, this Living CPU Kyoji was not someone the two of them could possibly defeat barehanded.
Master Asia watched Kyoji warily. Though he had already sensed that this Kyoji was not the Kyoji he knew, he still asked, "Kyoji, why are you here?"
This Kyoji let out several strange, mechanical laughs. "Kah... kah... kah..."
The laughter sounded hollow, and it was impossible to tell whether it came from Kyoji's throat or his stomach. It made goosebumps
