(I went to see Avengers: Age of Ultron today and got back rather late. How should I put it? It wasn't as good as I imagined.)
It was nearly midnight, and most of the Archangel's crew had gathered in the hangar. They were waiting for the maintenance crew to assemble the Gundam Astray Xiao Ran had named "Black," which the Red Mecha had delivered in a disassembled state. The maintenance crew had shifted nearly all their efforts to the Black Astray. Under Luo's direction, they replaced the damaged parts one by one, or searched through Strike Gundam's components for whatever parts the Black Astray lacked.
Everyone had seen the Red Mecha, and they could tell that aside from the color, the black machine and the Red Mecha were practically identical. Their assembled forms would be much the same as well. Even so, that did nothing to dampen their enthusiasm for witnessing an MS—especially one belonging to the Archangel—being assembled aboard the ship.
That enthusiasm directly improved the working atmosphere. Even without help from the maintenance crew, the supplies were sorted and placed into storage on schedule. Once they were done, everyone gathered around either the Red Mecha or the black machine to take a closer look.
Kira was among them. When he had first seen the nearly identical heads of the black machine, the Red Mecha, and the Strike Gundam, he had been utterly shocked. Only the G Series units had those horn-like antennas, chin protrusions, and identical faceplates. That was why he could not help murmuring the word "Gundam" when he saw the Red Mecha and the black machine.
