The Multiverse Chat Group's built-in teleportation opened a portal spanning two worlds rather than teleporting someone directly.
Thus, Chu Ke could see Steve, with his square head and square brain, greeting him from the other side through the portal framed by purple mist.
Chu Ke's first instinct was to worry whether the real-time processing of two worlds would lag, before remembering that this was reality, not a game.
Damn it, he had played My World so much that he was starting to confuse reality with a game.
He stepped through and realized that he seemed to be the last to arrive.
Before him was a modest lawn, with a long rectangular dining table in the center piled high with square ingredients.
Kaneki Ken, dressed in a plaid shirt, stood somewhat awkwardly beside the table. Across from him was a silver-haired girl with faint, circuit-like markings on her face and pitch-black sclera in both eyes—she had to be V. Finally, Steve, clad in a leather outfit, waved at Chu Ke with five long rectangular fingers spread wide.
"Wow. You're this lively and flexible?" Chu Ke meant no offense; he had simply assumed Steve could only perform the movements from the game.
Steve flashed a broad white grin. "Chu Ge, you're the one who surprised us the most. We thought you'd be as huge as those gods in Marvel. I was even worried there wouldn't be enough room for you to sit."
Just as expected, he had a sexy deep voice.
Chu Ke smiled. The next moment, his entire body turned pitch-black, and a ring of light spread behind his head like the halo surrounding a black hole, speckled with twinkling starlight.

"Do I look the part now?"
Steve gave him a thumbs-up. "Now that's got the right vibe."
"Eh, it's all just special effects. It pops out with a dung." Chu Ke switched back to his original skin. This was still more comfortable.
Walking up to the table, Chu Ke smiled at V. "You're the one who surprised me the most. You're actually a female V?"
V had previously mentioned that he was also a transmigrator, having crossed over from Earth into the body of the game's V. And naturally, V could be either male or female.
"No." V shook her head, then spoke in a deep middle-aged man's voice. "I'm actually a male V. I like his voice acting better, but who wants to stare at a man all day? So I made myself female. But I still have the equipment, you know."
As he spoke, he made to take off his pants. "Want to see? It's a super cannon."
Chu Ke's eye twitched. "If you dare take it out, I'll rip it off and make it grow on your forehead."
"Fine. Your loss for not seeing it." V somewhat disappointedly withdrew his hand from his underwear.
"Let's talk while we eat. How about we start with Captain America?" Chu Ke casually pulled out a chair and sat down. Once everyone was seated, he eagerly tore off a chicken leg and started eating.
"Okay." V thought back for a moment. "Actually, Captain America isn't the one from the 616 Universe. He's from another universe."
The 616 Universe was the origin universe and main universe of all Marvel Universes in Marvel's setting, while other universes could differ in their developments and characters.
"But he isn't the one from the normal timeline either. He's more like the version from the timeline where, in The Avengers 5, he chose to return to the past." V added, "He was already very old when he joined the group."
Chu Ke nodded, more or less understanding.
In The Avengers 5, in order to defeat Purple Sweet Potato Thanos, the Avengers team returned to the past and borrowed the Time Stone. To return it, Captain America went back to the past once more, but chose not to come back. Instead, he lived an ordinary life with his girlfriend until he grew old and handed his shield to Falcon.
"I thought the chat group always recruited people right when their stories began," Chu Ke remarked.
"That part is true. When Captain America first joined the group, it was actually during the Captain 1 timeline. But this was also where his universe differed from the movie universe. In the films, Captain America lived all the way to The Avengers 5 and then passed on the mantle. But in his universe, he might not be doing so well now."
"So this time, I wanted to ask whether Chu Ge could save him." V stopped eating and said solemnly, "The Multiverse Chat Group gives us a notification when a group member dies. The old man might not be dead yet."
They said men got more flirtatious as they aged. This Old Geezer Captain had often traded jokes with V in the group, so V had grown rather attached to him. "Of course. Then everyone will be happy." Reviving someone was actually very simple for Chu Ke: rebuild the body, change the label, and it was done.
He only needed to use the Fundamental Forces to change the label "dead" to "revived." As for whether it involved returning the soul or reversing time, he could leave that for the world itself to arrange.
With that, everyone's previously solemn meal returned to being a cheerful feast. V even @'ed Old Geezer Captain in the group.

Their banquet venue was a massive lawn, but beyond it stood several towering walls that reached into the clouds, with watchtowers spaced between them.
"Oh, this is Block City, which I built." Steve had waited forever for someone to ask, and now he eagerly began introducing it.
"Ever since I came to this world, there hasn't been anyone who could speak normally. The villagers only grunt and mumble, though fortunately, they have strong enough self-awareness to communicate. So, for safety's sake, I built them a city. It also serves as my base." Steve showed off, though a heavy loneliness seeped through his words.
"So you're a little city lord now?" Chu Ke raised an eyebrow.
"Of course!" Steve proudly waved a hand. "When I trade with villagers now, sometimes I don't even have to pay!"
"Then do Iron Golems still attack you?"
Steve's face fell. "They still do."
Iron Golems: That's just how the code is.
"Come to think of it, I remember the group gave you two levels, right? The other one should be your Creative Mode level?" Chu Ke suddenly remembered something. "Come here and let me see if I can unlock your Creative Mode."
"Ah!" Steve froze for a moment, then erupted in joy and shoved his square forehead over. "For real, bro? You can really unlock it? Will I get banned?"
