Chapter Summaries

Kinkaku and Silver Ninja overwhelmed Mei Terumi, Ao, and Chojuro with their Six Paths Treasures until Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Shisui arrived as reinforcements. Shisui used Kotoamatsukami to take control of Silver Ninja, leaving the battle poised to turn.

• Kinkaku’s Seven-Star Sword cut through Mei Terumi’s Lava Release and wounded her, while Silver Ninja’s Benihisago and Kōkinjō drained Ao’s and Chojuro’s Chakra.
• Kinkaku trapped Mei Terumi in mud and stabbed her arm, while Silver Ninja used the Amber Purifying Pot to pull Ao toward it.
• Itachi struck Kinkaku’s wrist with Amaterasu and disrupted the pot’s suction, allowing Ao to escape, while Shisui cut Chojuro free from the Kōkinjō.
• Itachi and Shisui regrouped with Mei Terumi, Ao, and Chojuro, and Itachi explained that Kinkaku and Silver Ninja’s Nine-Tails Chakra and treasures could be exploited.

Kakashi’s group found an injured Iwagakure scout who reported a hidden Akatsuki stronghold containing Deidara’s tools, and Kakashi treated him with Naruto Cells. Deidara entered the cave to stop the timed Explosive Tags, but Kakashi and Might Guy warned that interfering with the clay’s Chakra would trigger them.

• Ōnoki identified an Iwagakure reconnaissance squad, whose members reported that a masked Akatsuki reinforcement had wounded Sato and that Deidara’s tools were stored in a nearby stronghold.
• Kakashi used Chakra from Naruto Cells to stabilize Sato while Kurotsuchi made a temporary medical tent.
• Kakashi told Deidara that the Akatsuki had placed his tools in the stronghold to lure and use him, deepening Deidara’s doubts about the organization.
