Background / History

Lin Chen was raised by the Lin Family after Lin Zhentian found him abandoned in snow on a night marked by the Sword Qi Green Lotus phenomenon. Though Lin Chen's parents were unknown, Lin Zhentian treated him as kin while avoiding excessive public favor because of past events involving Lin Xiao. 13

In Qingyang Town, the Lin Family ranked below the Lei Family, Xie Family, and Mad Saber Martial Hall. Its Clan Tournament served as an important internal competition, while the larger Hunting Event determined local factions' influence and future benefits. 10 12

The family endured serious internal conflict when Lin Mang and Lin Hong betrayed it. Lin Chen killed both men, after which Lin Xiao assumed Lin Mang's financial authority. 23 24

The Lin Family subsequently fought the Lei Family for Ironwood Manor. Lin Zhentian ordered Lin Xiao to reclaim the property after the Lei Family failed to honor its handover agreement; the family secured the manor despite armed resistance. 47 49

The Xie Family and Blood Robe Sect later besieged the Lin Family with Core Formation Stage support. Lin Xiao returned with a merchant convoy, and the Wanjin Merchant Association's Black Armored Squad ultimately repelled the attackers. 83 84 85

With increased cultivation resources, the family produced numerous Heavenly Yuan Stage experts, while its younger generation reached the Earthly Yuan Stage. Lin Chen and Lin Zhentian recognized that Qingyang Town's limited environment would restrict further growth, prompting a shift in focus toward Yan City. 112
