Jia Xin had assumed Tomie would lead them to some corner of the first floor or a basement beneath Building C. After all, those were the only places where unexplored unknown areas might still exist. As for the upper floors, the space corresponding to every room was fixed. Jia Xin had compared the interior layout with Building C as a whole, and there could not possibly be any extra space.
"Follow me." Dressed head to toe in dark crimson, Tomie was completely different from how she acted when alone with Zhang Chen. She led the group up the corridor, her presence appearing especially eerie within this abandoned hospital.
Building C's psychiatric hospital was also divided into ordinary wards and special wards. The ordinary wards occupied the regular buildings on both sides of Building C. Upon reaching the third floor, however, a unique spiral staircase appeared in the center, and the entire interior of that spiral belonged to Building C's special ward section.
Jia Xin had naturally inspected this special ward floor thoroughly. Many unusual creatures from Ling's realm had once been kept here, most of them from the Chaos Realm. Yet now they had all vanished, leaving behind only faint lingering traces in the air.
What was strange, however, was that these wards had still been built from ordinary reinforced concrete. In theory, they could never have confined the patients within. The only explanation was that the overseers here had been far stronger than the patients, forcing them all to obey their commands.
