Inside the dim, silent Art Building
Wen Lu curled up alone in a corner of the corridor. It was almost ten o'clock at night, and she had no idea what she should do.
Half an hour earlier, she had led the eight-person team through the areas assigned to the Art Building. After finding nothing unusual, she had taken out her phone and called Shi Feng, who was leading Team B, only to hear that the number could not be reached.
Seeing that it was getting late, Wen Lu had prepared to lead the team out of the Art Building first. Yet the moment she stepped through the first-floor entrance, her mind had gone blank. When she came back to her senses, she was already on the top floor. Faced with such a drastically different scene, a chill ran down Wen Lu's spine.
When she walked back down to the first floor, every member of the team had disappeared. The first-floor doors and windows were tightly shut. Wen Lu swung a fire axe at what appeared to be fragile glass windows, yet she could not leave even the slightest mark.
Empty. Dead silent.
As time passed, the dark, enclosed environment of the Art Building gradually gnawed away at Wen Lu's mind.
