Zhang Chen proceeded deeper along the square passageway. Rather than the sense of danger he had imagined would arise as he entered the cave, both his body and soul felt remarkably calm.

Zhang Chen ran his hand along the passage walls, feeling the countless murals carved into them. The exquisite murals seemed to tell the history of the world's earliest formation. Though the carvings were somewhat abstract, their meaning was conveyed to Zhang Chen in full.

In the latter half of the murals, there was a black, spherical creature with tentacles. It seemed to be a being that had emerged alongside the world's system at its inception. This creature had been born within the Chaos Void, where life could not possibly exist. From the moment of its birth, it possessed an overwhelming desire to possess everything. Whether living beings or inanimate objects, all had to belong to it.

It assimilated everything in the world. In doing so, it destroyed the laws governing all things and was ultimately rejected by the entire world, then expelled.

"Is that all? There should be more, right?"

After Zhang Chen advanced another fifty meters, a stone door appeared ahead, and the carved murals ended there. He imprinted the creature described in the murals into his memory.

At the very center of the black stone door was the monster depicted in the murals, except there was a hexagonal indentation missing from the center of its head.

The material of these rock walls and the massive stone door before Zhang Chen was identical to that of the hundred-thousand-meter stone pillar outside. It contained highly concentrated energy, causing its molecules to bind extremely tightly. It was incomparably hard and difficult to destroy.
