"Not bad. This Power Armor was forged from Kryptonite, a new material I developed myself."
Chang Wei said with a smile.
He stood in the center of the laboratory, the Power Armor on his body gleaming with an unusual luster and looking especially eye-catching beneath the lights.
A faint blue glow flowed across the armor's surface, as if it contained some unknown energy.
"Kryptonite?"
Tony immediately caught the unfamiliar term.
A trace of curiosity and inquiry flashed in his eyes. Clearly, this new word had already piqued his intense interest.
The term "new material" was not uncommon. Countless new materials had been invented throughout human history, from early bronze and ironware to later plastics and alloys, then modern nanomaterials and superconducting materials. Every new material's emergence had propelled technological advancement.
However, few materials could truly be applied to daily life and make a major impact.
Either their costs were too high for widespread use, or their performance was limited, leaving them as substitutes for specific fields without the potential for broad application.
"Krypton can be used to make an alloy?"
Tony's question carried both a scientist's rigor and curiosity.
Krypton, Kr on the periodic table, was an inert gas. Its chemical properties were extremely stable, and it hardly reacted with other elements at all, much less served as the basis for a complex material like an alloy.
"The term 'Kryptonite' isn't actually accurate. It doesn't contain real krypton—that's a rare inert gas mainly used in lighting and scientific research, and it isn't suitable for making alloys. I named it that only to commemorate an important breakthrough during my research, as well as the unique properties this material displayed."
Chang Wei explained.
Tony frowned slightly at that, clearly not thinking much of the name.
"Then what exactly is this Kryptonite made
