The madness and hatred that had been suppressed for so long were ignited in an instant. Twenty superhumans let out beastlike howls and lunged at the Sage Grove Center staff like a pack of starving Evil Wolves.
These staff members had relied on Vought Company's power to torment the superhumans in every way imaginable. Now, retribution had finally come.
The terror and despair on their faces were impossible to conceal. Some tried to flee, only to be caught in an instant by Speed Type superhumans; others cowered and trembled in corners, only to be easily dragged out by superhumans with immense strength.
The entire Sage Grove Center was instantly plunged into chaos and bloodshed. Shouts, sobs, and screams intertwined, forming a mournful song from a living Hell.
Amid the chaos, however, Lamplighter found himself in trouble.
He had originally hidden in the surveillance room, hoping to escape disaster by relying on that concealed corner.
But while Cindy and the others searched the place, they quickly discovered his whereabouts.
The surveillance room door was violently blasted open by a powerful telekinetic force. Cindy stood in the doorway with several superhumans, her eyes filled with killing intent.
Lamplighter's face turned pale white. Left with no choice, he could only fight back.
The instant he flicked his lighter, blazing fire erupted from both his hands, and the scorching flames illuminated his terrified face.
He swung his burning hands, trying to force back the enemies before him. One superhuman was scorched by the flames and let out a scream of pain.
However, his resistance was futile.
More superhumans were drawn over by the commotion and surrounded him completely.
Cindy snorted coldly as her powerful telekinesis surged forth once more. The surrounding air seemed to compress into invisible pressure that crushed toward Lamplighter.
