Evolution of the Blacklight Virus

Chang Wei's mutation and evolution required things he could achieve himself. The system merely provided stable, controllable mutation and evolution; it could not let Chang Wei mutate abilities like Fire Breathing out of thin air.

Chang Wei was currently in an uninfected area. It was only separated from the infected zone by a single street, yet this place was peaceful.

"Black Watch's Battle Power is enough to beat the Umbrella Corporation senseless..."

He knew full well that this was only possible because of Black Watch's formidable Battle Power. The news reports merely claimed they were hunting terrorists.

The residents actually believed what the news reports said. They were clearly citizens of America, yet they trusted their own higher-ups' statements so completely. Truly Unable to Understand.

Chang Wei had not come to the uninfected area to attack a military base. He simply had ideas of his own.

"Pet store..."

Chang Wei looked at the pet store In front of him. Americans kept all sorts of pets—reptiles, insects, and even venomous snakes.

Those were all genetic components Chang Wei needed. The Blacklight Virus could not create things out of nothing; every evolution was based on the acquisition and use of genes.

Chang Wei figured he could not rigidly focus on evolving cold weapons. There were many other things he could make use of.

For example... Electric Eels.

The great strength and quick reactions of insects, Or rather arthropods, were unsuitable. If enlarged proportionally, the first issue was whether their body strength could keep up. Otherwise, there was no point; Earth's gravity would crush them.

The same went for their astonishing strength.

Of course, that was not to say they were completely useless. The structural mechanics and other things researchers had studied and utilized were still very useful.

But for an ordinary person like Chang Wei, he definitely did not know what was useful and what was not. The only thing he could think of was the visibly supernatural electrical power of an Electric Eel.

With his claw form, he could easily tear through bodies that even rifle bullets could not penetrate.

The pursuing Hunters immediately Dashed Towards Mercer. He avoided them with a side step, then swung his claws backhandedly and disemboweled one of the Hunters.

The Hunter let out a miserable howl. Its wound rapidly healed, and it Dashed Towards Mercer again.

To kill creatures like Hunters, which had already Merged with the Blacklight Virus, one could only continuously wear them down. Otherwise, even if they were beaten to Near-Death and left alone, they would recover on their own.
