Knowing the Truth

"Nero, take Genesis for a physical examination."

Dante spoke to Nero, his voice calm yet firm. This was clearly a task that had to be completed.

Nero frowned, a trace of impatience showing in his eyes.

He shot Dante a glare and said with some dissatisfaction, "Why do I have to go? I'm really busy."

Dante smiled at Nero. He knew the young man's personality well, so he did not mind his complaints.

He explained softly, "Because I have an urgent mission right now. A large number of monsters have appeared, and I need to deal with them. So I can only trouble you with taking Genesis for the examination."

Nero sighed helplessly and glared at Dante, seeming to blame him for dumping such a troublesome task on him.

But since Dante had already asked, he had no reason to refuse.

He turned to Genesis and said, "Follow me."

Genesis nodded. He felt somewhat nervous, but even more curious.

He followed behind Nero, passing through a long corridor and arriving at the Emperor Company's laboratory area.

The atmosphere here was completely different from the Medical Room. The air carried the scent of technology.

All kinds of precision instruments and equipment were arranged neatly, while several researchers busied themselves with their work. Their gazes occasionally fell upon Genesis, filled with curiosity.

Nero led Genesis into a spacious laboratory. The lighting was soft yet bright, giving the place a quiet, professional feel.

At the center of the laboratory was an examination bed, with a massive instrument beside it that looked extremely advanced.

"Lie down on that bed."

Nero pointed at the examination bed.

Genesis nodded. He walked over to it and lay down as Nero instructed.

He had done this often back at Shinra Company, so he was already familiar with it.
