  • Ji Wushang and the Human traitors attacked Chu Qing with martial techniques, and the battle spilled across the three-headed creature as Chu Qing pursued them.

Ch. 1723Ambush! Ambush! Ambush!

As White Jade Pass buckled under a massive assault, Chu Qing fought the Gods and Devils while secretly strengthening its earth-vein defenses. When over three hundred and sixty powerful Gods and Devils surrounded Shang Xie, Chu Qing revealed himself and launched a surprise attack.

  • Chu Qing used the Earth Scripture and the mountain's earth veins to reinforce White Jade Pass while fighting Gods, Devils, and Human race traitors.
  • The Gods and Devils focused their attacks on Chu Qing, but he traded injuries for kills and continued to hold them back.

  • Chu Qing appeared behind the attackers and killed several powerful Gods and Devils before the others noticed his ambush.

Ch. 1724A Future Set in Stone, No Miracles

Chu Qing fought alongside Shang Xie at White Jade Pass, destroying waves of golden Gods and Devils and the treasures suppressing her powers. White Jade Pass fell, Shang Xie was gravely wounded, and she told Chu Qing that the future was set and no miracle would come.

  • Chu Qing ignored Ji Wushang’s curses and attacked the Gods and Devils surrounding Shang Xie, who crushed many of them with her dreamlike techniques.
  • A luminous pearl broke Shang Xie’s defenses, but Chu Qing fought through the golden Gods and Devils guarding it, killed them, and destroyed the pearl.

  • White Jade Pass was trampled flat as human fighters were slaughtered, and Chu Qing asked Shang Xie where the Human Emperor was.
  • Shang Xie said she did not know and urged Chu Qing to leave, but he asked her to struggle in case a miracle came; she replied that the future was set in stone.

Ch. 1725For the Human Emperor's Throne

Shang Xie and Chu Qing searched for the Human Emperor, hoping to preserve the Human race’s future, and found him surrounded by Gods and Devils and human traitors. Ji Wushang agreed to enslave the Human race in exchange for the throne, while Chu Qing gathered his strength to kill him.

  • Shang Xie and Chu Qing decided that finding the Human Emperor might offer the only chance to change history, and the Four Directions’ Top Experts joined their search.
  • Shang Xie and the others found the Human Emperor surrounded by powerful Gods and Devils and human traitors, with the bodies of his allies at his feet.
  • The Human Emperor refused to surrender, while Ji Wushang demanded the throne and offered tribute from the Human race to the Gods and Devils.
  • When the Gods and Devils demanded that all humans and their descendants become eternal slaves, Ji Wushang’s followers recoiled, but he agreed to every demand.
  • Chu Qing silently gathered his strength, intending to kill Ji Wushang.

Ch. 1726Sealing Ji Wushang's Head

Chu Qing and the Human race turned against Ji Wushang after he agreed to make their descendants slaves and blood food in exchange for the Human Emperor’s throne. Chu Qing killed him, preserved his head with divine abilities, and sealed it in the sun so future generations would remember his betrayal.

  • Ji Wushang agreed to the Gods and Devils’ conditions, promising that the Human race would serve as slaves and blood food for generations.
  • Chu Qing attacked Ji Wushang, while the Human Emperor, Shang Xie, and other Human race powerhouses rushed to kill him.

  • Chu Qing crushed Ji Wushang’s body, kept his head, and infused it with three thousand six hundred divine abilities that recorded his crimes and protected the head.
  • Chu Qing sealed Ji Wushang’s head upon the great sun for three thousand years, after which it would fall among the Human race and teleport whenever attacked.

Ch. 1727High Priest of Gods and Devils

Chu Qing killed Ji Wushang, then fought the Gods and Devils alongside Shang Xie as their overwhelming forces surrounded the Humans. With one hundred and eight thousand High Priests joining the battle and time travel preventing Chu Qing from using the Future White Day Scripture, he prepared to unleash King's Authority: Hand of God.

  • Chu Qing killed Ji Wushang, declared himself an outsider Emperor, and attacked Gods and Devils who moved to seize Shang Xie's throne.
  • Shang Xie and the Human race powerhouses joined the battle, but the enormous God and Devil forces kept pressing in and sent Shang Xie flying beside Chu Qing.
  • Shang Xie told Chu Qing she had sealed away some God and Devil powerhouses for him to study in the Great Unification Era, then used her power to hold off their pursuers.
  • One hundred and eight thousand God and Devil High Priests arrived, and their successive attacks blocked Chu Qing as he struggled to find a way to defeat them quickly.
  • Chu Qing tried to activate the Future White Day Scripture, but its gear-ring shattered as he crossed time and space, so he summoned King's Authority: Hand of God instead.

Ch. 1728The Human Emperor Curses the Human Emperor Throne

As the Gods and Devils renewed their assault, the Human Emperor burned his body and cursed the Human Emperor throne before scattering its authorities across the starry sky. As he turned to ash, he saw a future in which Chu Qing and other experts still gave the Human race hope.

  • Gods and Devils initially fled from Chu Qing’s Hand of God, but after realizing its phantom could not kill them, they attacked Chu Qing and the Human race again.
  • Chu Qing fought a God Demon High Priest while the other High Priests attacked the Human Emperor, Shang Xie, and the surrounding experts.
  • The Human Emperor killed two God Demon High Priests, then burned his body and cursed whoever bore the throne, the starry sky around them, and the conflict between the Human race and the Gods and Devils.
  • The Human Emperor’s 365 authorities scattered across the sky, and Gods, Devils, and Humans fought to seize them as his body turned to ash.
  • As he died, the Human Emperor saw a future in which Chu Qing and other experts surrounded Heaven, and concluded that the Human race still had hope.

Ch. 1729The Birth of Stone Ridge Mountain

After the Human Emperor died, his authority was divided and seized while the war between humans and Gods and Devils continued. Chu Qing watched Shang Xie die at the place that became Stone Ridge Mountain, understood its origins, and warned the Gods and Devils that their decline was inevitable.

  • The Human Emperor's authority split into three hundred and sixty-five portions, which humans and Gods and Devils seized before fleeing to study them.
  • Powerful humans sacrificed themselves so survivors could study their bodies and advance human martial arts, beginning a practice that later caused conflict between humans and different humans.
  • Chu Qing and Shang Xie escaped the battlefield through four hundred days and nights of pursuit before reaching Chu Qing's point of arrival.
  • Shang Xie burned herself to kill dozens of High Priests and died alongside a High Priest resembling a Three-legged Golden Toad; their bodies became the mountains called Stone Ridge Mountain.
  • Chu Qing realized Shang Xie had helped him locate the corpses of powerful Gods and Devils and declared that the human race would eventually defeat the Gods and Devils.
  • Chu Qing told the surviving High Priests to seek him at Stone Ridge Mountain in the Great Unification Era, but they roared and attacked.

Ch. 1730Seeing Liuli Again, Recounting Old Tales

After the Gods and Devils drove Chu Qing from the era, their war over the Human Emperor’s authority devastated their races and led to the rise of Heaven. Chu Qing awoke beside Liuli after an immense stretch of time and began telling her what he had experienced.

  • Chu Qing unleashed his Dao Fruit, reinforced the Earth Vein with the Earth Scripture, and was expelled from the era as the High Priests’ memories of his Dao Fruit were erased.
  • The Gods and Devils returned to find their races at war, and their conflicts over the Human Emperor’s authority continued until most of their people and major races had fallen.
  • Human powerhouses gathered and scattered the Human Emperor’s authority, and a later figure who feared claiming the title instead called himself Heaven.
  • Chu Qing awoke in a familiar tribe, found Liuli, and fell asleep in her embrace.
  • After waking by a stream with his head on Liuli’s lap, Chu Qing held her hand and began recounting his old tales.

Ch. 1731Old Tales Told to Liuli

Chu Qing told Liuli about the future, then formed a living visualization of her as his ultimate killing move. As time and space pulled him away, Liuli warned him she would no longer deduce the Star Scripture, and the two parted with no certainty they would meet again.

  • Chu Qing recounted his experiences and delivered Shang Xie's request for Liuli to teach her future self more methods to help the Human race.
  • Chu Qing asked to see Liuli in her complete form and visualized her, while Liuli breathed blue smoke into the image and gave it a spark of spirit.
  • The visualized Liuli became a living being, and Chu Qing's Profession Column revealed a new killing move that wielded one-tenth of Liuli's peak power.
  • Liuli told Chu Qing that one of her precious dreams lived within his visualization and could be the source of her resurrection, but warned him not to make absolute promises.
  • As Chu Qing was pulled away through time and space, Liuli said she would stop deducing the Star Scripture because her efforts brought Great Terror and ominousness.
  • Chu Qing vanished, and Liuli returned to the snowy mountain, where she later received representatives of powerful beings who had awakened in her era.

Ch. 1732Liuli Walks the Chaos Sea

Liuli entered the Chaos Sea to stop its monsters from invading the Starry Sky World and searched for the sea’s master. After building stars and armies to suppress the monsters, she met members of Bai Jade, who explained the Chaos Sea’s vast scale and rising tide.

  • Liuli entered the Chaos Sea and used her dreams to create Great Stars and armies that fought the monsters while local powerhouses built fortresses.
  • Liuli walked 108,000 steps through the endless sea, then spread Great Stars outward and had them try to build a continent from monster corpses.
  • When giants emerged from the Chaos Sea and attacked the starry-sky powerhouses, Liuli summoned Great Stars to help defeat them, and their corpses became drifting continents.
  • After a Great Star was destroyed, Liuli used it to see a bronze palace and met its inhabitants, members of an organization called Bai Jade.
  • The Bai Jade members told Liuli that Earth might know who controlled the Chaos Sea and explained that its rising tide swallowed starry skies over sixty thousand eras.

Ch. 1733A Brief History of the Liuli Era

Liuli recounted the history of the starry sky’s struggle against the Chaos Sea, from building its Great Star seawall to her own battle and long slumber. Chu Qing returned to Stone Ridge Mountain, where his shout for Shang Xie confused Nangong and the others, until Shang Xie answered him.

  • Liuli gave the White Jade Organization three hundred and sixty-five Great Stars and asked them to tell Emperor or Chu Qing about any devastating injury they saw her suffer in the Chaos Sea.
  • Liuli built a Great Star seawall around the starry sky, and powerful beings later created Gods and Devils to help defend it.
  • Liuli and other powerful beings entered the Chaos Sea to investigate its bells; during their absence, Gods and Devils enslaved the Human race, and later Chu Qing arrived and departed.
  • Liuli returned wounded with other powerful beings, who merged into the seawall; she suppressed her own injuries and eventually returned to the Chaos Sea to settle accounts with her enemies.
  • After returning to a shattered land, Liuli struck Batian, gave a thread of life to Lian Hongchen’s Heaven-Connecting Path, created two Imperial Capitals, and fell into eternal slumber.
  • Chu Qing awoke at Stone Ridge Mountain and called for Shang Xie, prompting Nangong, the others, and the Sprites to question who Shang Xie was before Shang Xie answered from the Four Directions.

Ch. 1734One Hundred and Eight Thousand Runes

Shang Xie reunited with Chu Qing and revealed that the starry sky had shrunk and its Gods and Devils had weakened since her era. Together they examined sealed ancient Gods and Devils, uncovering profound runes, while Chu Qing considered how to marshal many minds to decipher them before the coming Nirvana Dao.

  • Shang Xie explained to the women that Chu Qing had helped revive her by strengthening the starry sky, then discussed the brutal racial war of her era.
  • Chu Qing told Shang Xie about the current age and summoned an Innate God and Demon, whom Shang Xie sliced into one hundred and eight thousand pieces to inspect its sealed runes.
  • Shang Xie took Chu Qing to an underground cavern containing one hundred and eight ancient Gods and Devils she had sealed beneath Stone Ridge Mountain.
  • With Shang Xie's help, Chu Qing analyzed one hundred and eight thousand runes and found them far more profound than the three thousand runes he knew.
  • Chu Qing and Shang Xie discussed her device for combining many minds, but she warned that making it powerful enough would take too long amid the approaching Nirvana Dao.
  • Chu Qing thought of combining Shang Xie's device with the Mechanical Emperor's brains to improve their ability to gather consciousness.

Ch. 1735Mechanical Brain Deciphers Runes

Chu Qing and Shang Xie completed a colossal Mechanical Brain to help decipher the 108,000 runes, then enlisted martial artists across the starry sky to contribute their wisdom. The deciphering barely progressed, while Chu Qing continued working to restore Shang Xie and planned to explore Liuli’s Imperial Capital to revive her.

  • Chu Qing and Shang Xie oversaw the construction of a ten-thousand-mile Mechanical Brain, and a Mechanical Emperor discovered that modifying her head improved her clarity and strength.
  • Chu Qing stored the 108,000 runes and his related knowledge in the completed Mechanical Brain, where maidservants’ consciousnesses began examining them.
  • Chu Qing, Shang Xie, Cui Moyang, Nangong, and others modified the Mechanical Brain to prevent it from developing self-awareness, then added divine abilities, a curse, and Exotic Arts.
  • Chu Qing sent the runes and scriptures to Myth, Luo Tian, and the others, and martial artists across the starry sky joined the effort to decipher them, but progress remained minimal.
  • Chu Qing and Shang Xie determined that clearing decay from the Mantis Martial Ancestor’s decaying world would help Shang Xie recover, while Chu Qing prepared to explore Liuli’s Imperial Capital and revive her.

Ch. 1736Contradictory Liuli, Liuli's Memory Crystal

Chu Qing found Liuli suspended in a crystal in the Imperial Capital and poured energy into her, but she did not awaken until she briefly spoke through a phantom. Liuli warned him about the Chaos Sea and left him a memory of how she was injured, while Chu Qing prepared to watch it.

  • Chu Qing entered another layer of the Imperial Capital and found Liuli resting inside a crystal, absorbing blood and vital energy.
  • Chu Qing poured energy into Liuli for three months, but she showed no sign of waking.
  • Liuli spoke through the phantom Chu Qing formed with Kingly Authority: My God, opened her eyes, and told him she had little time left.
  • Liuli explained that the White Jade Organization and beings with bronze bells had injured her in the Chaos Sea, and warned Chu Qing not to provoke them.
  • Liuli told Chu Qing that organizations in the Chaos Sea pursued Emperor as a form of authority tied to changes of eras, then asked him to supply energy and shine the golden core on her monthly.
  • Liuli's phantom shattered into a Memory Crystal, which Chu Qing activated to see how she had been injured.

Ch. 1737Bronze Bell, Giant, Dragon Turtle

After seeing Liuli’s memories of the Bronze Bell giant and the Dragon Turtles from the Chaos Sea, Chu Qing resolved to test the Nirvana Dao’s methods against the Green Hand. He arrived with Nangong and the others, and the Green Hand demanded its release, promising them power after the Nirvana Dao devoured their starry sky.

  • Chu Qing watched Liuli’s memories: she repeatedly killed the Bronze Bell giant, but fled after a Dragon Turtle creature pierced her shoulder, and a second Dragon Turtle appeared.
  • Chu Qing concluded that the Chaos Sea itself could breed terrifying beings and that its inhabitants had turned the starry sky into a place to raise and harvest beings as treasures.
  • Chu Qing decided to use the Green Hand to test the Nirvana Dao; Madam Jin and the others agreed to accompany him, and he secured their promise not to stop his travels if he could handle it.
  • Madam Shi activated the teleportation, and Chu Qing arrived with Nangong and the others at the imprisoned Green Hand.
  • The Green Hand trembled at Chu Qing’s arrival and demanded release, claiming the starry sky could not stop the Nirvana Dao and promising to make them beings like itself.

Ch. 1738Then Go Die

Chu Qing followed the Green Hand’s bones into the Nirvana Dao’s world and confronted the hand’s true body in a White Palace. He revealed how greatly his strength had increased and attacked the master of the Green Hand.

  • Chu Qing broke through the Green Hand’s flesh and bones with divine abilities, then entered his body and followed its bones toward the true body.
  • The Green Hand withdrew his internal defenses and followed Chu Qing’s path to the Nirvana Dao world.
  • In the White Palace, the Green Hand’s true body told the white-robed figures to watch as Chu Qing arrived.
  • Chu Qing recognized the Green Hand’s true body, dismissed the gathered figures, and said that killing him would take one move.
  • Chu Qing appeared before the master of the Green Hand and told him to die.

Ch. 1739I Want to Change History

Chu Qing used a new divine ability to burn away the Green Hand owner's consciousness and historical records, leaving him doomed to die. Chu Qing then declared that he would erase the man at every point in time to test whether established history could be changed.

  • Chu Qing's gaze overcame the Green Hand owner's defenses and set his eyes ablaze with flames that consumed his spirit, soul, and records in history.
  • The Green Hand owner tried to decipher Chu Qing's divine ability by drawing on memories of his youth, but his consciousness faded away.
  • Chu Qing burned away the Green Hand owner's remaining historical traces until only his eyes remained.
  • A White Robe Being asked Chu Qing to spare a trace of the Green Hand owner's past, but Chu Qing argued that the man and his world were already gone.
  • Chu Qing said he would erase the Green Hand owner at every stage of history to see whether the past could be changed.

Ch. 1740My Son's Name Should Be—

Chu Qing showed the White Robe Beings how his Heavenly Fire repeatedly killed the owner of the Green Hand throughout his life, but they insisted he had not changed history. The scene ended when time seemed to freeze and a strange roar sounded from afar.

  • Chu Qing asked the White Robe Beings to view the Dao Fruit World and saw its surviving obsessions, Golden Core Dao Fruits, and a child who seemed to be his descendant.
  • Chu Qing used the burning eyeballs to project scenes of the owner of the Green Hand dying at different points in his life, from his service to the Nirvana Dao back to his birth.
  • The White Robe Beings argued that the repeated deaths had not changed history, and Chu Qing was left unsure whether his method had succeeded.
  • Time seemed to freeze, and a strange roar rolled in from afar.
