Ch. 1764Rolling a Snowball to Find the Old Ancestors

Di Yu'er and Phoenix Emperor searched for accounts of the Great Unification Era, then asked the Emperor Kun Family’s Old Ancestors when they discovered history had changed. The Old Ancestors also remembered the changes, but Third Old Ancestor claimed she did not know the era’s history despite being born in it.

  • After failing to find more histories, Di Yu'er and Phoenix Emperor decided to seek answers from the Old Ancestors.
  • On their way to the Emperor Kun Family, Di Yu'er and Phoenix Emperor realized that the war over Lady Bi Luo’s sealed location had vanished from history and that the world now had more, larger human continents.
  • The first Old Ancestor could not answer their questions, so she led them to Eighth Old Ancestor, who said the palaces had reappeared after history changed and that many of the family’s contingencies had collapsed.
  • Eighth Old Ancestor revealed that she, Seventh Old Ancestor, and Emperor Kun Old Ancestor knew history had been altered, while Di Yu'er and Phoenix Emperor hid their suspected involvement.
  • Seventh Old Ancestor agreed to help, and the Old Ancestors gathered at Third Old Ancestor’s residence, where Third Old Ancestor said she did not know the Great Unification Era’s history, shocking the others.

Ch. 1765Di Xiu'er After History Changed

Phoenix Emperor and Di Yu'er reached Di Xiu'er’s palace to ask about the Great Unification Era, where she revealed that they had helped change history through their connection to [Di]. Di Xiu'er explained that [Di] had told her about them after history changed and her memories and state shifted.

  • The Third Old Ancestor led the Old Ancestors, Phoenix Emperor, and Di Yu'er to Di Xiu'er’s palace beneath the seabed.
  • The group entered a vast spherical palace filled with sentient Exotic Flowers and Herbs and found Di Xiu'er asleep in a crystal coffin.
  • Di Xiu'er awakened and asked Phoenix Emperor and Di Yu'er whether they still wanted to keep changing history.
  • Di Xiu'er told them that their connection to [Di] had caused the historical changes, and Phoenix Emperor asked her about [Di Qing] in hopes of earning a reward.
  • When the Old Ancestors accused Phoenix Emperor and Di Yu'er of taking over their descendants, Di Xiu'er explained that their consciousnesses had collided with [Di]’s and that [Di] had given them essence blood.
  • Di Xiu'er said [Di] had told her about them and that the changes in history had given her new memories and altered her state.

Ch. 1766Di Xiu'er

Di Xiu'er explained why knowledge of the future could bind powerful figures to history, then recounted her early life with Lord [Emperor Qing]. She left the others with no answers about Bi Luo, Madam Shi, or Princess Consort.

  • Di Xiu'er told Di Yu'er and the others that ordinary people could change their fates with future knowledge, while powerful figures who learned history would fulfill it.
  • Di Xiu'er lectured the group for hours, repeatedly reappearing after they thought she had stopped.
  • After Phoenix Emperor asked about her relationship with Lord [Emperor Qing], Di Xiu'er described her auspicious birth and how he taught and traveled with her before they separated.
  • Di Xiu'er said she had never heard of Bi Luo, Madam Shi, or Princess Consort.

Ch. 1767Di Xiu'er's Dilemma

Di Xiu'er learned that Chu Qing had other women and resolved to find them, while reflecting on her ignorance of [Emperor]'s past. She told Di Yu'er and Phoenix Emperor to warn the young [Emperor King] against learning the future, but Di Yu'er challenged her belief that such knowledge would make history inevitable.

  • Di Xiu'er insisted she had been [Emperor]'s only woman during the Great Unification Era, leaving the Old Ancestors, Di Yu'er, and Phoenix Emperor stunned.
  • After learning that Madam Shi and Nangong Moyang existed, Di Xiu'er decided to find [Chu Qing]'s women and fight them to determine who was superior.
  • Di Xiu'er warned Di Yu'er and Phoenix Emperor not to tell [Emperor] about the future, and they recounted Chu Qing's history to her.
  • Di Xiu'er lamented that she had never investigated [Emperor]'s past and had only begun to mature after he vanished.
  • Di Xiu'er ordered them to return to the past and warn the young [Emperor King] not to learn the future, but Di Yu'er argued that [Emperor] had changed history before.
  • Di Xiu'er maintained that only [Emperor]'s own descent could change history and worried that his latest intervention might have fallen into history's trap.

Ch. 1768Tears Fell Like Rain

Di Xiu'er revealed that Emperor Kun Old Ancestor had died long ago and urged the Emperor Kun Clan's Old Ancestors to prepare for the coming war. She showed them his preserved corpse, and their bloodlines forced them to mourn.

Ch. 1769Then... Prepare for War

Di Xiu'er made the Emperor Kun Clan's Old Ancestors consume Emperor Kun's flesh and blood to strengthen them for the coming war, then ordered Di Yu'er to turn his blood into medicine for the whole clan. As the war spanning eras approached, Di Xiu'er prepared to bear the decisive battle herself.

  • Di Xiu'er told the Emperor Kun Clan's Old Ancestors to eat their dead ancestor's flesh and blood to strengthen their bloodlines, and they began devouring it while Di Yu'er and Phoenix Emperor drank his blood.
  • Di Xiu'er reflected on Chu Qing's warning that a war spanning eras would threaten the survival of the Human race, though she questioned what the Chaos Sea's Humans had to do with her world.
  • After the Old Ancestors finished eating, Di Xiu'er restored Emperor Kun's remains in his box and told them they could eat again after digesting the flesh and blood.
  • Di Yu'er proposed refining Emperor Kun's blood into secret medicine for the entire clan, and Di Xiu'er assigned her the task and ordered everyone to prepare for war.

Ch. 1770Di Xiu'er's Choice

Di Xiu'er refused Phoenix Emperor’s offer to visit the Great Unification Era, choosing instead to prepare for a war she believed [Emperor] had predicted. She went to seek an ancient God or Devil as Miss Heaven discovered that history had been altered beginning in the Great Unification Era and found a message from Chu Qing.

  • Di Xiu'er showed Di Yu'er that the Emperor Kun Old Ancestor’s corpse was regrowing flesh and instructed her to let the clan’s descendants eat from it without destroying it completely.
  • Di Xiu'er explained that the Old Ancestor could die in the Chaos Sea, and Di Yu'er left to carry out her instructions.
  • Phoenix Emperor invited Di Xiu'er to visit [Emperor Qing] in the Great Unification Era, but Di Xiu'er declined and said she would handle a war in the present era.
  • Di Xiu'er vanished to seek a God or Devil who had served as a lackey at the end of the Gods and Demons Era.
  • Miss Heaven traced missing and newly appearing memories to an alteration of history that began in the Great Unification Era, then found a message Chu Qing had left for her.

As the era’s defenses came under attack from a Dragon Turtle and other powerful beings, she recognized that the war had begun.

  • Miss Heaven reread Chu Qing’s warning that Chaos experts would wage war across one hundred eras at once and that she and Di Xiu'er should defend the last eleven.
  • Miss Heaven deduced that Chu Qing and other allies would hold the earlier eras, while the later eras would serve as battlefields to delay the enemies.

  • Madam Jin taught Di Yu'er and Phoenix Emperor to seal their future memories, and [Liuli] asked them to record the group's conversations for future generations.

Ch. 1779Preparing to Continue the Bloodline

Chu Qing agreed to try to leave descendants with his companions so their bloodlines could preserve their memories if they were ever forgotten. Their plans were interrupted when Bright Moon learned that a riot had broken out in the Second World, and she set off to investigate.

  • Nangong, Liuli, and Madam Jin persuaded Chu Qing that descendants could help preserve their legacy and give them a chance to return if they died and were forgotten.
  • Zhao Hongxiu suggested trying for several hundred years, and Chu Qing agreed to work with the women to produce descendants.
  • Bright Moon took Chu Qing into a stone sphere, while Madam Shi trapped First Illumination Person in a cage and ordered her to guard the door.
