Taxisis's Proposition

For a moment, the hall fell silent as a graveyard.

Even the murmurs of the observers ceased—faced with such shocking words, the first thing they doubted was their own ears.

Could a Church that had turned its back on Hera still be called the Sun God Church?

"Taxisis!" Saidaro shouted from behind her. "What nonsense are you talking about? Hurry and accept His Holiness's command!"

The Inquisition commander's voice shattered the ceremony's silence.

Only then did the crowd recover from its shock, and in an instant, the Sun Hall erupted like a pot boiling over!

"Silence, silence!" Maine could not help rising from her chair. She walked to the railing of the dais and looked down at the girl from above. "What absurd words. Have Lesser Evil Spirits polluted your soul as well, leaving you unable to see Hera's radiance?"

"I am willing to undergo the Soul-Search Secret Art, to prove that these words came from my own thoughts, not the temptation of Lesser Evil Spirits or someone else's control." Taxisis calmly spread her hands. "My lords, please think carefully about The Church's past! A century ago, The Deity was merely a description on the pages of books, a fantasy in people's hearts, and Divine Art had not yet appeared—yet did not the Sun God Church still stand above the Archipelago Kingdom?"

"Utterly unreasonable!" Maine shook her head repeatedly. "Over the past century, The Deity descended from rumor into the world and granted believers the power to crush their enemies. Does that not represent The Church's progress? What we could not do in the past, we can do now; hardships we could not overcome before, we can resolve now; from crossing rivers to spanning oceans, from lighting bonfires to summoning the sun—are all these changes not worthy of praise?"
